Antique signed Ferdinand Preiss miniature carved figurines of baby children. Made very early in the 20th century - probably between 1907-1920''s, in Germany. Measurements:approx 23mm (a little over 3/4inches) high. Length of the crawling baby is approx 1 1/4 inches (31mm) total length. Two toddlers - tiny children, marvellously captured in these hand done carvings. A little child sits and holds out one hand,chubby legs stretched out, a small smile on the tiny mouth. The other child is crawling along, dressed only in a bib, the rest of his body literally ''butt naked''. Details are amazing: from the tiny fingers and toes to the exact facial features and hair. ''photos are highly enlarged - see the details of this great quality work. Babies are always cute and these two are exceptionally so, especially the little boy with his naked behind. Both pieces are signed F. Preiss underneath. Condition is very good. This is the first one of these I've had, but I've always wanted one. This new old stock mailbox comes in its original box, with original hanger and hardware, and original instructions. Made by the Overmyer-Perram Glass Co...Tulsa, Okla. in the 1910s - 1920s. All glass and aluminum, advertised not to rust. Glass Mailbox is in excellent unused condition, with no chips or cracks. Original box is also in very good condition with original graphics still very readable.   « Less

The metal top is also in good condition with no breaks and only the expected wear. Complete and no missing graphics, this is an excellent example of a much classier era! This set is truly exceptional!! Extreme deco graphics feature 'Empire Theatre' tickets, canes, top hats, lit cigarettes, gloves, martini glasses, carnations and champagne bottles on an elegant cream colored background. Set consists of wooden tray painted a very pale yellow and covered with reverse painted glass, and 6 tumblers with black plastic cane shaped stirrers. The wood of the tray shows some light to moderate wear, but is still extremely presentable and the graphics are all in excellent condition. There is a tiny flake in the reverse paint on the tray, not the glass, just the paint (bottom area on right side). All glass is free of chips, cracks, or damage of any kind. All 6 canes are present and accounted for with no cracks or damage. The reverse painting is extraordinary with no visible loss of paint, cracking, or peeling. This special set needs no excuses! You won't find a cleaner set any time soon!   « Less
