Antique lay down cameo enameled glass and sterling silver perfume bottle made by Daum, Nancy, France, late 19th - early 20th century. Measures 6 1/8 inches long. Outstanding cameo glass in a number of colours: background ranges from frosted clear, through bright pink and green. The cameo layers are deep red, clear and purple-blue. Delicate, tiny flowers and foliage in superb detail. Exquisite fine workmanship. Neck is mounted in silver with French hallmarks for 19th century. Original glass stopper in good condition. Round lid and fitted silver bottom are both engraved with tiny flowers and foliage. Glass is outstanding in quality as is the silver and engraving. All pieces are hallmarked with the French helmeted head in profile and another (presumably maker''s mark) with MON a rounded triangle and E embossed in it. Bottom of the glass with handwritten DAUM NANCY signature. Glass and silver is all in very good condition with no damage of any sort. Antique / vintage signed Hoffman glass perfume bottle. Made in Czechoslovakia, early 20th century. 4 1/4 inches high. Orange-pink glass. Shaped as a stepped semi-circle with original metal openwork collar with raised bow in front. The matching stopper is intaglio cut with a wonderful vignette of a nude blowing bubbles for a winged cherub. Marvellous detail. A tiny butterfly behind the seated woman is the Hoffman signature. Antique perfume bottle made of blue glass cut to clear, profusely handpainted with flowers. Believed to be French and dates to 19th century. Measures approx 4 3/4 inches high. Approx 5 1/4 inches in diameter at widest part. OUtstanding perfume bottle. Shape reminiscent of a woman dancing in a wide swirling dress. Bottom is cut in wide, ridged radiating rays. Slopes up to the bottom of the ''skirt'', which is shaped in concentric cut swags. Radiating from the neck in triangular, stepped panels, bordered by blue glass. WIthin are a myriad of tiny handpainted flowers - beautifully depicted in very fine detail. Each section and panel is different. Flowers from violets, to morning glory, roses anemones etc. Stopper in corresponding swirling blue cut to clear glass with flowers in triangular panels. Good condition. Some negligible nibbles underneath, mentioned only for the sake of accuracy of description. Art Deco glass and guilloche enamel jewelled and gilded perfume / cologne bottle. Made in Europe, very likely Austrian Wiener Werkstatte or Paris, France. Dates to 1920-30''s. Measures 5 1/2 inches high. Almost 4 inches in diameter at bottom. Outstanding quality: glass bottle reminiscent of figural stylised woman in a wide skirt. Glass is emerald green cut to yellow. Original full dauber at the end of the stopper. Stopper with rich gilding and wonderful emerald colored stone on top. The neck of the bottle has a band of fantastic guilloche enamel in a complex design in sparkling emerald green, golden orange and gold. Various textured surfaces, parallel lines, squares within squares with irregularly sized borders. A golden masquerade mask with engraved detail. The ornament is very typical of Vienna''s Wiener Werkstatte or the gorgeous French Art Deco ornament. Upper rim of bottle covered with gilt metal in relief foliate/floral scrolls. The only mark I found is an engraved 13 under the bottle. Very good condition. No chips/cracks/damage. 19th century lay down sterling silver and enameled glass perfume bottle, made either by Mt. Washington in the USA, or Thomas Webb & Sons in England. Total length is 8 1/2 inches. Long, tapering bottle in ivory coloured glass, beautifully enameled with delicate scrolling branches with flowers in full bloom and buds and foliage. COlours are red, pinks, salmons, orange, and shades of green and brown, all highlighted with gold. Pattern entirely encircles the bottle, including the bottom. THe swirling sterling silver lid is hallmarked twice, once with an animal head and one oval with IP. No stopper. The bottle was made either by Mt. Washington as was a 4inch example with a bamboo pattern, similarly enameled in Jacquelyne Jones North''s 1986 book on perfume bottles, page 21. It is also very similarly decorated to examples of Webb Burmese glass, one page 39 Revi''s Nineteenth Century Glass. Condition looks very good to the naked eye, but magnifying glass reveals a small slightly uneven patch (less than 1/4 inch wide) on the bottom, which may be original to the bottle, mentioned only for total accuracy. Antique English lay down perfume bottle made of cut glass and sterling silver. Birmingham, 1901. Measures 9 1/4 inches long. Cylindrical, flattened lay down bottle. Very finely cut old glass of the same period as the American Brilliant Cut Glass (and possibly made here, but glass is not marked, so we do not know). Sterling silver neck and hinged lid. No stopper present. Silver is hallmarked with anchor for Birmingham, lion passant, date letter that appears to be ''b'' for 1901 and also a very worn maker''s mark. Generally very good condition with a few very tiny, negligible nicks in the glass, as is to be expected. Sterling silver and early American cut glass lay down perfume bottle, by Tiffany & Co. Made in America, late 19th - very early 20th century. Measures 7 1/8 inches long. Beautiful, deeply cut glass, gives the hand quite a massage when held. The neck is encased in sterling silver with a hinged lid. No stopper. The rounded lid has a very pretty engraved monogram, which could be ALB. The silver is hallmarked Tiffany & co STERLING. Engraved marks under the glass are worn and we can barely make out a few numbers. Condition is good. Very close inspection reveals a few, tiny, shallow chips, natural in a piece of this age and delicacy. Exceptional Webb cameo art glass perfume /scent bottle with sterling silver cap. Made London, England early 1880''s by Thomas Webb & Sons. Monumental 11 inches long. Flattened elongated oval form. Yellow glass with white overlay carved in magnificent fuchsia pattern with butterflies. Flowers in full bloom and in bud, and beautifully carved foliage. A number of butterflies flutter around the bottle. Round sterling silver cap. Original glass stopper. Gilt silver neck. The quality of the carving and it''s detail is exceptional. The white glass has a buttery feel about it. Although the name Webb does not appear, the butterflies are their signature mark and there is absolutely no doubt that they produced this bottle. The butterflies were often used in lieu of the company name spelled out. The silver cap and the gilt silver neck are both hallmarked with lion (sterling standard); leopard (for London), date letter I for 1884-5; Queen''s head facing left; and maker''s mark, which appears to be FBM (FRM?). Condition is excellent. No chips/cracks/damage/restorations of any sort. Previous owner: Acquired from Alan Tillman Antiques, London, England (1977). One of the largest lay down bottles!
