Antique opaline glass vase decorated with enamel, jewels and gilding. Made by Moser, Bohemia (now Czech Republic) 19th century. Approximately 3 1/2 inches high. Narrow base widens to a full-bodied roundness and ending in a small collared neck. The glass is soft amethyst in colour, very pearly opalescent. The upper area, around the shoulders and the neck are decorated: the neck with very rich gilding and piped enamel scrolling highlights, interspersed with actual raised jewels (made of glass, not enamel), in blue and red - like sapphires and rubies. The shoulders have a deep iron grey pattern, outlined in gold that could show Russian influence. Also decorated with piped scrolls and set with raised jewels. This pattern alternates with very delicate enamel flowers and minute gilded bubbles leading the eye towards the bottom of the vase. Antique glass vase designed by Rene Lalique, France, 1923. 6-1/4 inches (15.9 cm) high. ''Lievres'' (translation ''hares''), Marcilhac #942. The vase celebrates the traditional hare hunt in the region of France that Lalique lived in. Made of clear and blue patinated glass with iridescent quality to the rabbits. Very full round body with a slightly flaring, small neck. The background area of the vase depicts raised blue foliage. Leaves scroll and swirl over the entire surface. Around the widest part of the body, a broad band with blue ground and raised, hares, chasing in an anti-clockwise direction. The rabbits are of all sizes, strenously galloping ahead. Many, as though caught in mid-air. The vase has en embossed R. LALIQUE mark underneath. Very good condition. No chips/cracks/damage/restoration. Exceptional antique glass vase in the form of a sea shell. Made by Loetz in Bohemia / Czechoslovakia (now the Czech Republic) 19th century. Measures 11 1/4 inches tall. Sea shell theme. The vase is a pointed sea shell standing upside down, enclosed in an iridescent clear glass trio of swirling, fluted seaweed that tapers down to the base, in the same iridescent, clear glass that echoes the organic sea creature theme. The main shell is composed of incredibly-coloured and textured glass: depending on the light, the background is in shades of pinks and oranges with raised organic looking ''scales'' in iridescent silvers and golds. All colours deepen, become more metallic looking and shade to blues, depending on the light and angle. The shape is quite luscious - a bowl on top seemingly torn open and curling backwards to show the inside / reverse of the glass. Moulded with bends and twists - all generously rounded. No signature seen. Very good condition with some roughage on the edges of the base, commensurate with the age. Antique Bohemian engraved, cased, glass vase. Made in Czechoslovakia (now the Czech Republic), about 100 years ago. Measures 9 1/8 inches high. Diameter on top is 6 1/4 inches. Stands on very solid round base, narrows to form a small neck and then gently flares out with outwards folded upper rim. Cased glass is red over clear. Beautifully engraved with a large, floral pattern of anemonies, both in full flower and in bud, surrounded by foliage. RIngs of bubbles have been cut, beneath the flowers, on the base and half-globes on the rim. The pattern goes all the way around the vase and is more vibrant and bold than those normally found on Bohemian glass vases. It is also much more naturalistically done, with a lovely, soft artistic flair. Great botanical detail. Good condition. Very fine soft green glass with a pearly, almost opalescent look to it. Baluster shape with flaring rim. Decoration is handgilded oak leaves on a branch that runs right around the vase as well as a pair of 3 dimentional applied acorns. Unmistakably Moser decoration, although not signed. Antique cranberry glass trumpet vase with enamelling and enamel jewel beads in turquoise and orange on gold (like jeweled Coalport porcelain). Made 19th century - circa 1880''s. 14 inches tall. Diameter of base is 4 1/2 inches. Round base made of clear glass with enamel pattern and white beading / jewels, leads to very narrow bottom of vase that flares outwards like a trumpet towards the top. THe body of the vase is made of cranberry glass, covered both top and bottom by a rich layer of gold, profusely decorated with enamel jewelled beads - the larger in turquoise, but also small orange jewels that offset & enhance the turquoise. The same beads arranged as little flowers cover the ungilded part of the vase. Further decoration and outlines in the same enamelled scrolls as on the base. Good condition with no chips/cracks. Antique 3-layer cut glass, handpainted pedestal beaker, goblet vase. Made Bohemia (now Czech Republic), 19th century, circa 1880 - 1900. Measures 6 1/4 inches high. Tremendous technical skill used to blow this vase in 3 layers - deep blue cut to clear with white opaque interior. Cut with rows of round windows to reveal the inner layer, which creates a great visual play as it moves to different angles. The round windows of the main part of the body are each handpainted, very, very finely with flowers - pink roses, blue daisies etc. Gilded upper rim. Technical and artistic skill as only found in the best Bohemian glass of the 1800''s. Very good condition - no chips/cracks/damage/restoration of any sort and the painting remains fresh and clear - obviously a well looked after piece for over 100 years. Cobalt blue glass vase with sterling silver overlay. Age and origin unknown, but looks to be circa 1950. 4 1/2 inches tall. Baluster shape with round foot and flaring rim. The entire width of the rim, neck and foot are covered with a solid layer of silver. THe body has an openwork pattern of stylised flowers and foliage. There are no hallmarks to be seen. Outstanding Loetz Titania glass vase with sterling silver overlay. Made in Bohemia (Czechoslovakia) early 20th century. A little over 4 1/2 inches high. Irregularly organic shaped vase, like an exotic flower with ruffled petals turning out on the top. Silvery gold iridescent green with the inside a deep, rich blue. Depending on the angle of the light, pearly colours change and change and change. Sterling silver overlay with rims winding around the upper and lower borders and the body fitted with scrolling flowers with engraved highlights. Engraved sterling mark. Good condition.
