For Sale I have a nice carnival glass Ruffled Bowl made by The Dugan Glass Company of Indiana, PA. The Pattern is "Single Flower Framed" and it is done in the ever popular Peach Opalescent. The Bowl stands 2 5/8" tall and is 7 1/8" wide. The pattern depicts Three 5 petal single flowers on a stem, framed with double wavy lines on the outside exterior. The inside of the bowl depicts ribs running vertically falling just short of the curled edge. The iridescence is brilliant and wonderful as you can see vivid hues of Blue, Teal, Fuchsia on a strong Gold background. The piece is considered to be in excellent condition as there are no nicks, chips or dings. The only issue is some minor iridescence loss on the inside flat bottom. This is common with all Peach Opalescent Iridized Pieces.   « Less

For Sale I have a beatiful piece of Carnival Glass made by The Dugan/Diamond Glass Company of Indiana, Pa. The shape is a Vase and the pattern is known as "Pulled Loop". The Vase measures 10 1/4" tall and is 3 3/4" in diameter at its widest point. The Vase depicts five "pulled loops" or arches on six panels separated by a vertical rib between them. The Vertical ribs extend into the edge of the flared rim giving an interesting top edge pattern. The color is Cobalt Blue and the iriescence on this Vase is just outstanding. You can see colors of Gold, Purple, Teal and Blue. I would consider the Iriescence to be Electric. The "Pulled Loop" pattern was introduced by Dugan in 1907 and given the catalog number of 1029. Dugan closed its doors in 1913 and became the Diamond Glass Company that same year. Diamond Glass Company showed this pattern in their ads as shape number 1030. These wholesale ads appeared in Carnival Glass catalogs from 1912-1928. The Vase is considered to be in Excellent Condition as there are no crack, chips, nicks or dings. The piece is unsigned but guaranteed to be "Pulled Loop" by The Dugan/Diamond Glass Company. The Cobalt Blue version of this lovely pattern is considered to be quite scarce so don't let this one pass by. It's absolutely stunning. The Vase was made Circa 1907-1928.   « Less

For sale I have a piece of Carnival Glass made by The Imperial Glass Company of Bellaire, Ohio. The item is a Bottle or Decanter with its Stopper and the pattern in known as"Imperial Grape". The Decanter measures approximately 11 1/2" tall to the top of the stopper and is 5 1/2" in diameter. The Decanter displays Plump Grape Clusters in Heavy Relief set on a background of Grape Leaves with veining and the base color is Marigold. The Stopper has Vertical ribbing and a Beaded horizontal ring around the center of it to complete the look. The Decanter is part of a Water or Wine Set and the pattern resembles Northwood's Grape and Cable. Those of you with the tumblers from Northwood could easily use this Decanter to complete their set of these Delightful beauties. There is a wonderful iridescence to both pieces and you can see hues of blues, fuschias, green and yellow. The Bottle is considered to be in Excellent Condition as there are no chips, cracks, nicks or dings. There are a few rough spots on the neck of the bottle where the horizontal bead ring is but it is factory air bubbles as I inspected it with a magnifying glass. The stopper appears that it might have some chips along the flange that sits down into the bottle. I found this with a cork like material applied to where the stopper inserts into the neck of the bottle. This was cleverly done by the previous owner and does not detract from this piece or functionability. It actually protects the Glass from any further damage. It appears that you can remove this but I will leave that up to the new owner. This is a Very Nice Decanter with Great Iridescence. Normally you find these without the Stopper and they work great as a Flower Vase. It is always a Treat to find these with their stoppers. The Decanter was made Circa 1915-1920 and guaranteed to be vintage.   « Less

For Sale I have a very nice piece of Carnival Glass made by The Northwood Glass Company of Wheeling, West Virginia. The Shape or item is known as a "Hatpin Holder" and it is done in the very popular "Grape and Cable" design. The Hatpin Holder stands 6 5/8" tall and is 2 3/4" in diameter at the feet. The top of the Hatpin Holder is 2 1/2". The Hatpin Holder is made from a very beautiful Amethyst or Purple base glass. The Iridescence is just outstanding! You can see deep rich Purple/Blue iridescence along with Fuchsia and Gold. The Hatpin Holder displays and a very lovely Pattern of Raised Grapes and Leaves that hang from Vine that surrounds the piece. The Bunches of Grapes are large and plentiful. There are Leaves that separate these Vertical Clusters giving this piece some balance. The Veining in the Leaves is just outstanding. You can also see the fine Stippling in the Leaves and this adds more Value to the piece. Just above these Vertical Leaves is a Band that surrounds the lower neck. These are grooves in the Band to simulate a Cable, thus the name "Grape and Cable. The Vase is supported by 3 nicely applied Ribbed Spatula Feet. The Hatpin Holder is considered to be in excellent condition as there are no cracks, nicks, chips or dings. There is one spot on one of the feet that is pictured that has a flaw. This was caused when the Hatpin Holder was removed from the mold. This is not damage and considered Factory. This is a very nice Hatpin Holder with Strong Detail and Iridescence. These were once Plentiful during the Victorian Era but a 100 years later they are seldom seen in this condition. The piece is unsigned but Northwood is the only Company that made the Grape and Cable Hatpin Holders during this era. These were originally part of a Dresser Set for Ladies. I'm sure the lucky winner will be very pleased with their purchase. This piece was made Circa 1910-1920.   « Less

For sale is a beautiful Carnival Glass Swung Vase made by The Northwood Glass Company of Wheeling, West Virginia. The pattern is known as "Tree Trunk" and is Green. The Vase measures 8 1/4" tall at the tips of the ruffles and has a base diameter of 3 5/8". The opening at the rim of the vase measures approximately 4 3/4" wide outside rim measurement. The Vase displays different sized and sporadically placed hobs with raised crescent lines in between to give a bark or tree trunk appearance. This vase has a nice wide flaring rim to accommodate a nice bouquet of flowers. The color is green with Marigold iridescence at the top fading towards the bottom two thirds of this vase. This is known as an Alaskan Finish. There are colors of Gold, Purple, Blue, Fuchsia and Teal iridescence that is on the interior and exterior at the top. There is a starred base which is the norm for this pattern. This is considered standard size vase. The piece is in excellent condition as there are no cracks, chips, nicks or dings. The piece is signed on the bottom with Northwood's N Underlined in a circle mark. For sale is a piece of Carnival Glass made by The Imperial Glass Company of Bellaire, Ohio. The item is a Flower Vase and the pattern is known as "Ripple". The Vase is a nice petite size as it measures approximately 7 1/4" tall and is 2 1/2" in diameter at the base. It measures approximately 2 7/8" wide at the outside rim. The exterior of the Vase depicts crisp horizontal rings that start at the base and soften in definition nearer the top. It is meant to simulate the rings or ripple from a pebble hitting the surface of a calm pond or water. The interior of the vase has evenly space vertical ribbing to give more depth to this pleasing pattern. There is a ruffled rim with six ruffles and the color is Marigold that graduates to a clear base. There is stong iridescence and you can see hues of Blue/Purple Gold, and Fuschia. The iridescence is "Brilliant". The Vase is considered to be in Excellent Condition as there are no chips, cracks, nicks or dings. The piece is not signed but guaranteed to be vintage Imperial. There is a 16 point star on the bottom of the vase which is the norm for this lovely collectible. The is the smallest Mini Ripple Vase I have ever owned. The Vase is a tall size as it stands 12 7/8" tall and has a 3 1/4" base diameter. It measures approximately 4" in diameter at the top opening. This is considered a "Middle" size Vase in Ripple as that is determined by the base diameter. The exterior of the Vase depicts crisp horizontal rings that start at the base and softens in definition nearer the top. It is meant to simulate the rings or ripple from a pebble hitting the surface of a calm pond or water. The interior of the vase has evenly space vertical ribbing to give more depth to this pleasing pattern. There is a ruffled rim with six ruffles and the color is Purple. There is an Electric Blue/Purple Gold iridescence as you can see extremely strong hues of Golds, Fuchsia and Blue/Purples all over the exterior. My camera cannot capture the brilliant iridescence this Vase has. The Iridescence runs the entire height of the Vase. It is very strong at the bottom and the top. The Vase is considered to be in Excellent Condition as there are no chips, cracks, nicks or dings. The piece is not signed but guaranteed to be vintage Imperial. For sale is a beautiful piece of Art Glass made by Mont Joye of Paris, France. There are beautiful Enameled Tiger Lilies on a base glass of Cranberry to Clear. The Vase is very tall as it stands 11 3/8" tall and is approximately 5" in diameter at the base. The opening at the top of the vase is 5 1/2" outside diameter. The Vase depicts wonderful enameling of a Pale Lavender to a medium Purple Lily Petal and another one that is a Pale Yellow and Cream with Green Veins in Full Bloom. There are also Two Lily Buds just to the left of each full Bloom Flower. The lower Bud is more than half opened with the top Bud just starting to open. There are also sprigs of fernery in the background painted in Gold that give the artwork a wispy feeling of Spring in the air. There are also leaves with nice shading throughout and is outlined in Gold and displays gold veins. The Vase is considered to be in Excellent Condition as there are no cracks, chips, nicks or dings. There is very minor gold enamel loss around the top rim as you can see that most of it is there. The beauty is in the Color and Enameling of the Vase. The Vase is signed in gold paint inside the polished pontil with the number "g51" or "146" or something along that line. This is probably the artist or finishers mark. The countersunk polished pontil is always the sign of quality piece of art glass. This is a brief History of Mont Joye Glass. Glass bearing the name «deVez», «Mont Joye», and «Pantin» was produced by the same company. E. S. Monot at La Villette near Paris founded this company in 1850. In 1859, known as «Cristallerie de La Villette» the company was transferred to Pantin, at that time a suburb of Paris and now a part of Paris. After F. Stumpf joined the company in 1868 it became «Monot & Stumpf». In 1873 Monot's son joined the company and the name changed to «Monot, Pere et Fils et Stumpf». About 1894 the company became known as the «Stumpf, Touvier, Violette & Cooye,» and the same company produced «Pantin». After WW1 merged with Legras & Cie. This is an extremely large Mont Joye Vase. You commonly find 6-8" Versions and sometimes you can find 10" ones. It is considerd rare to find one that is almost 12" tall. It was very common for these tall vases to get knocked over and broken. This one is NOT!! This Vase is in amazingly Great Shape for being 100+ years old. Mont Joye enameled glass was produced at the turn of the Century. It was extremely popular both in Europe and North America. This is an extremely large Mont Joye Vase.This type glass was of high quality and became very desirable among Fine Glass Collectors. For sale is a very nice piece of Carnival Glass made by The Fenton Glass Company of Williamstown, West Virginia. The Pattern is "Holly" and the shape is known as a hat or small vase. The Hat stands approximately 3 5/16" tall and is 5 7/8" in diameter at the widest part of the ruffle. The Vase or Hat depicts a pattern of embossed sprigs of holly berries set upon branches of holly leaves. They all climb from the interior center of the Vase which is plain. The exterior is plain as there is no pattern. The bowl is Blue with very Vibrant iridescence. The colors are bright and you can see brilliant Fuchsias, Greens and Blues on the interior and exterior of the piece. The Hat is considered to be in excellent condition as there are no cracks, nicks, chips or dings. There are some straw marks in the center of the Vase which is a common occurance with carnival glass and does not detract from the value or beauty. The piece is unsigned as is true with this early pattern. Those Collector's of Blue and Fenton and want an excellent example in both form and Iridescence will be extremely pleased with their purchase. This piece is early as it was made Circa 1911-1915.   « Less
