Art Deco brass sculpture of a woman stretching up and holding a ball from which the game of bridge playing card markers are hung. English, circa 1920-30.Height is 5 5/8inches.A young lady standing on a podium on top of a square base stretches up. Balanced on her palms is a ball from which a bar extends. A set of bridge card markers - the suites, No Trumps etc written on them. They are made of an early plastic such as bakelite.Condition is very good. The brass has some tiny surface scratches. He is moulded in very high relief with fabulous detail of coat, ribs, muscles and detail on his alert face. Box has a rattle - perhaps intentionally. No marks. Condition is excellent.
