From the Konyak People of Northeast India, a hide shield with pigment designs and dyed goat hair tassels. In very good condition this shield is from a Santa Fe collection. It is constructed of thick leather from the Water Buffalo and ornamented with white kaolin, charcoal and red goat hair tassels. The shield grip is of woven cane and is well patinated from use. The carrying sling, while worn remains in place. There are some scuffs and edge wear but the over all condition is very good. Mid 20th C. Size 33"x13".   « Less

This item is a beautiful antique brass frame with bubble glass and a wonderful black and white photograph of a young boy. The frame is eight-sided with a chain hanger. The photo has that great sienna color that only comes with age. The reflections that show in our photographs are not a part of the picture. There is some tarnish on the frame, and normal wear on it and the photo, but overall they are in good condition. The frame measures 20" in height, 12" from side to side, 1 1/4" from front to back, and weighs 3 pounds.
