ANT-186 Circa 1900-10 Antique Marble & Brass Close Ceiling Chandelier Wow, wow, wow. For the bead or marble collector, I would assume that this close ceiling original antique fixture would be a MUST! I mean...look at this beauty...that complicated shade is just so unique. With one socket it could easily take up to a 150 watt bulb since the shade is a net of beads. Just fun!! The metal is all brass and has a rather matte appearance. Circa 1900-10, it is a mixture of good castings and intricate beadwork for the shades. Very hard to find indeed. Completely re-wired in our UL approved shop, it is ready to hang immediately upon arrival. We have only one left of these fixtures. Once they are gone they are gone. A wonderful antique four-tiered chandelier in its original silver plate, dating from the early 1900’s. This two-light “wedding cake” chandelier begins with an ornamented canopy and comes down in a chain to an Art Nouveau loop finial. The chandelier body is ornamented with a leaf-and-dart design. Below, the chandelier has four tiers of sparkling “icicle” prisms, and is finished in a faceted crystal ball. A wonderful antique five-light semi-flush mount chandelier, dating from the 1920’s and retaining its original polychrome finish. The chandelier begins with a canopy ornamented with a rope border and an inverted heart pattern. Below, the chandelier features a cascade of leaves and flowers, with bobeches ornamented with anthemia and polychrome egg-and-dart detail. The chandelier finishes at the bottom in a foliate medallion with a dangling finial. Wonderful antique five light chandelier with original glass shades, dating from the early 1920s. This brass pan light fixture begins with a simple, elongated canopy, moving down in chain to a hook at the crown of the body. The body is disc-like in shape, with the lower portion tapering off into a low point. Five links of chain hang from the underside of the chandelier body, each supporting a hanging shade with understated fitter and original glass shade. The shades feature gadrooning and beading details. This light fixture has no cracks or breaks to the glass, just the expected fleabites around the rims. There are a several dents and dings on the body as pictured. The chandelier has been professionally rewired and comes with all the necessary attachments for modern installation. A fabulous antique five-light chandelier in its original silver plate and fitted with Sheffield style glass shades. From a house in Indianapolis, Indiana, this chandelier dates from the 1920’s. It begins with a silver plated canopy ornamented with leaves, coming down in a chain to a torsade loop finial with foliate accents. Below, a shallow cluster of leaves is accented with a prism on every other leaf; the chandelier has a column-like body with sleek chandelier arms curving up from the bottom. The arms are linked by a twisted silver band, and each arm supports a black shade holder with a Sheffield style shade. The chandelier finishes in a cluster of leaves with a faceted crystal ball at the bottom. This light fixture is in excellent condition and the glass is also in excellent condition with no cracks or breaks. It has been professionally rewired and comes with all the necessary attachments for modern installation. A fabulous antique Tudor exterior sconce, made of bronze, with its original crackled amber glass cylinder. This was found in a c. 1910 home in South Carolina. The sconce features a hammered backplate ornamented with faux straps; the backplate tapers into a hammered bronze hook that supports the lantern. The hook connects to a spike finial atop the lantern roof; the lantern features a beautiful amber glass cylinder surrounded by hammered bronze bands with stylized foliate detail. This wall lamp is in excellent condition; it has been professionally rewired and comes with all the necessary attachments for modern installation. The glass is also in excellent condition with no cracks or breaks, just the expected fleabites around the edges. This porch light measures 12” tall, 5-1/2” wide, and projects 8” from the wall. This fixture has been completely restored to provide many more years of gracious service. The old asbestos wiring was completely removed, and it was professionally rewired to ensure its safety and longevity. It also was completely re-plated to reclaim its original elegance. The chandelier has a diameter width of 21”, and its body has a height of 18”. The 20.5” chain drops the base of the fixture a total of 38.5” from the surface of the ceiling. Dried floral displays were also used. The result is a definitive stylistic statement that enhances any wall, especially ones where furniture placements are limited.
