Unusual antique figural Arts and Crafts five-light chandelier with monks' heads, c. 1905, salvaged out of Springfield, IL. This iron light fixture begins with a swirled canopy, coming down in decorative chain to a loop finial. Below, is a hammered globe with five decorative chains extending down to a wide circular band body. The hammered band features unique shields with the heads of grimacing monks. Centered between the figural heads are hanging lanterns with glass shades. The five lanterns feature hammered, sloped roofs and banding details across the glass shades. This light fixture is in excellent condition with no cracks or breaks to the glass; it has been professionally rewired and comes with all necessary attachments for modern installation. The fixture measures approximately 27" wide, 33" tall, and 45-3/4" long overall. A matching pair of sconces is also available, item # NSP697.   « Less

Dazzling antique five-light chandelier with crystal prisms, c. early 1900s, salvaged from a Chicago, IL home. The darkened silver over bronze fixture begins with an understated canopy and chain, moving down to an oval loop finial. The chandelier's French pendalogue-shape body has undulating stems radiating out at different levels and supporting sparkling crystal prisms. The prisms range in shape from spear, zipper-cut spear, smooth teardrop, to French pendalogue. A large center crystal spear crowns the top of the inner lower body. Five understated bobeches and candlecups extend out, with scrolling stems connecting down to the base of the body. The chandelier finishes in a gorgeous faceted prism finial. This light fixture is in excellent condition; it has been professionally rewired and comes with all necessary attachments for modern installation. Elegant antique five light chandelier with original prisms, c. early 1900s. This silver plate over brass fixture begins with an understated canopy and chain, working its way down to a foliate loop finial. The chandelier's body is ornamented with beautiful bands of leaf and floral details. Five S-shaped chandelier arms extend out to support decorative floral bobeches; original icicle prisms hang from each light. The chandelier finishes in a beautiful faceted finial. This light fixture is in very good antique condition; it has minor dents to the bottom, as pictured, and there are chips to some of the original prisms. Lovely set of FOUR turn of the century mirror back sconces. Circa 1920, these sconces have a lightness to them with a bit different ambiance. The BEVELLED mirror centers are special. The solid brass frame is quality. The shades are French by Vianne. Just a great combination all around. Each sconce has been carefully re-wired to UL standards with new sockets and wire. Ready to go. These sconces will all be supplied with all the necessary mounting hardware. Naturally, having a mirror back, a gentle installation hand is suggested during the installation process since it could be possible to break the nice bevelled mirror with too aggressive tightening of the mounting nut that runs through the mounting hole of the mirror. Each sconce measures: Overall 11" tall. The maximum width is 4 1/2". The sconces will project into a room 5 1/4". One of the scarce lights of the deco era from Mid West MFG. This is the 5 light Soleure chandelier. Mid West only made the best quality lighting. This chandelier is solid bronze with a great original finish. The castings are so beautiful, as well, with lots of pierced parts which are...were... so hard to do as any casting man will tell you. The finish does have some minor flakes and thinning but it also has a nice mellow appearance and most vintage lighting aficionados would not touch this lovely...aged... finish. This light has been totally re-wired as well with five new sockets and a new main stem wire. The drop of this light now is 30 inches and it has a diameter of about 20 inches..... shade tip to shade tip. The ceiling canopy measures about 7 inches in diameter. Lovely pair of Circa 1930 wall sconces. Original backplates and original shades. Old gold painted cases with touches of old nickel elaborations at the bottom. The metal of the backplates is cast metal and then finished with old gold. The installed panel is so unusual and, while we have one of these in the museum, attribution has escaped us. Best guess has been Moe Bridges. Very neat for originality. These sconces have been completely re-wired with true bakelite sockets and all new wire. We have also replaced the switches, made by Leviton in the 20's...and still made up to two years ago. So these switches by Leviton are becoming even more rare as we note this. Measurements: The Overall sconce height is 8". The maximum width is 7 1/2". It will project into the room from the wall, a mere 3". $715.00 for the pair... plus shipping   « Less

Extremely hard to find, large commercial size Art Deco streamline design chandelier. Circa 1940. While it is hard to imagine the size of this wonderful chandelier at 27" in diameter, I would suggest getting a measuring tape and simply looking at the wonderful diameter of this difficult to find bowl chandelier. The light is made from `spun' aluminum and knowing how large the spinning lathe had to be to create this piece, simply can boggle the mind. Lovely Streamline Art Deco. While the diameter of the bowl is 27", the overall height is 55". Best of all...we have multiples of this light. At this time, we have 7 of these great chandeliers. So if you are doing a commercial project and need multiple chandeliers, here is a rare opportunity to complete your project with original antiques. Electrical: Rewired with porcelain mogul sockets (that old floor lamp big socket) and currently will be supplied with a 300 watt incandescent bulb. The frames are just a wonderful design with scrolls that remind you of the Paris exposition of Art Decoratifs in 1925 when Edgar Brandt did all the iron work for this important expo. Completely rewired to UL standards in our UL shop with new sockets and rotary switches identical to the old ones. Fully capable of 100 watt incandescent bulb each. Below, the body is crowned by beautiful scrolling bands, and consists of amber slag glass panels accented by ruby stained glass. The panels are sectioned off by an intricate body of scrolling foliage and beading. The chandelier finishes in a tassel finial. Elegant antique Neoclassical six-light chandelier in its original silver plate, dating from the early 1900s. This pan light begins with a decorative canopy, with a scrolling foliage loop finial below. The upper body features gadrooning, beading and leaf details. Below, the lower body is a broad disk, with the underside of the six chandelier arms featuring delicate scrolling details. They extend to support simple silver plated bobeches, while a floral and leaf finial hangs from each arm. The chandelier's body tapers down to a final finial below.
