A fabulous antique Art Deco skyscraper pendant light, dating from the 1930’s, with an unusual two-piece shade. The chandelier features a stunning white glass skyscraper shade, with a clear prismatic shade below. This light fixture is in very good condition; it has some visible scratches as pictured. The glass is in excellent condition with no cracks or breaks, just the expected fleabites around the rims. The chandelier has been professionally rewired and comes with all the necessary attachments for modern installation. The pendant measures 9” wide and 16” tall (body only), and 36” long overall. The chandelier begins with a Art Nouveau loop finial, with a trumpet-shaped section below ornamented with volutes and hung with prisms. Each chandelier arm begins with leaves framed in volutes. Each arm features a graceful C curve and features a cutout bobeche ornamented with leaves and egg-and-dart detail, with icicle prisms. A small silver plated tassel hangs from the center of the chandelier. A fabulous antique five-light chandelier in its original polychrome finish, dating from the 1920’s. The chandelier begins with a loop finial composed of overlapping geometric shapes, coming down to a body formed by flat iron bands ornamented all over with a subtle design of flowers and leaves. Each band is accented with a red polychrome floret button, with a second flower connecting each chandelier arm to the body. The arms support wide red foliate bobeches. A slender metal rod runs the length of the chandelier, ending in a polychrome finial with a triangle design. The chain moves down to a decorative loop finial , which holds up an urn-shaped upper body with volute, leaf, and egg-and-dart details. The upper body tapers down and out to five beautifully embellished chandelier arms that feature scrolling foliage. Each chandelier arm supports a decorative and gadrooned bobeche. Beneath the fixture's arm extensions the body tapers down to its end with a beautiful swirled underpiece.
