Circa 1880 Chinese Export Rose Canton Oval Scalloped Serving Dish measuring over 8 1/2" in diameter and over 1 1/2" in height and depth. The difference between rose canton and rose medallion is that rose canton has no people in the scenes. This is a unusual shaped form that we have not seen that often. On the bottom of the piece is a sticker from a antique shop in Long Island, New York who had apparently sold this piece to a member of the family whom I had recently purchased their chinese export rose medallion.   « Less

Circa 1875 Chinese Export Rose Medallion Plate/Charger measuring 10" in diameter. This form is actually a Cake Plate and not a plate or charger. They came in different sizes with 10" being the smallest and some were as wide as 20" and than were often termed to as a "CHARGER". Circa 1875 Chinese Export Rose Medallion Hog Snout Creamer. This shape and form is the most frequently seen. This is a common form in both rose medallion and blue canton. They come in many graduated sizes. This one measures 3 1/2" in height and 7" from the end of the spout to the top of the handle. The base measures 2 1/2" in diameter. No damage or restoration. This recently came out of a home in Howard County, Maryland. Their will be many more pieces being posted to our web site that came out of this home.   « Less

Circa 1850 Chinese Export Rose Medallion Tazza/Compote with knurled edges around the top with alternating figures of people in a garden scene and rose canton panels of birds, flowers roses and greenery. This beautiful and unusual piece also has celadon ground under the painting of these scenes. The rippled edges on the top part are very unusual and not often seen especially with the gilded edges. The diameter is 9 1/4" and the total height is 4 1/8". The base has a nice rose canton band going around at the bottom of this exquisite piece of chinese export rose medallion, celadon and rose canton mixture.   « Less

Circa 1820 Chinese Export Rose Mandarin Punch Bowl of wonderful Quality and Great Condition with only the slightest of wear. This Bowl measures 15 3/4" in diameter and is 7 1/8" in height and depth. Wonderful Quality with a very nicely detailed greek key border. four quadrants of scenes on the inside of the bowl with a center scene only separated by another greek key border. The central scene in the middle bottom of the bowl has some minor wear but all in all the bowl has minimal wear for a large punch bowl surviving the past 200 years. The outside of this bowl has two large scenes of mandarins in a court yard scene adjoined by two cartouches of mandarins in scenes. All in all this bowl's workmanship is absolutely wonderful. This would make a beautiful setting in a room in the middle of a dining room table or on the side on a sideboard or a credenza. Additional images are available upon request. Circa 1840 Chinese Export Rose Medallion Cache Pot in Very Good Condition. This is one of two of these pots that I am listing individually on my web site and also as a lot of Two--Can't say a pair as their is a inch difference in height but both are the best. the famille rose enamels have the rose medallion and mandarin scenes.The decoration is of high quality with lots of detail and precisely painted. Excellent Condition and Excellent Quality. This one is 4 1/4" in diameter at the top opening and the measurement in height to the bottom foot is 3". It has the original feet on the base which would set onto a undertray that unfortunately is missing, which is usually the case. Good Condition. Their is a very,very tiny nick on the top rim and a very small amount of wear on this rim. Of course there is a hole in the bottom for water to drain. The inside is rough as it is not glazed and of course they would water their little flowers. These cache pots, planters, jardineers and bough pots in antique chinese export porcelain are hard to find in anywhere the good condition that this and the other one that we have listed on our website.   « Less

Circa 1840 Chinese Export Rose Medallion Lovely pair of antique chinese porcelain flower pots. This form is also referred to as cache pots. The famille rose enamels have the rose medallion and mandarin scenes. The decoration is of high quality with lots of detail and precisely painted. Both of these pieces are in Excellent Condition and Very Good Quality. One of these is 4 1/4" in diameter at the top opening and the measurement in height to the bottom foot is 3". The other one is 4 1/8" in diameter at the top opening and is 2 3/4" in height to it's bottom foot. The feet were supposed to fit into a underplate that neither one of these have. Again both are in Perfect Condition. No chips, cracks or restoration. Condition is Good. There is a bit of wear from age and use (mostly visable on the inside)and there is one chip to one of the underside feet of the smaller one.(Not visable when the flower pot is standing) Originally these would have had matched liners often referred to as underplates. But the are not, lost or probably broken thru the years.   « Less
