An elegant antique Art Nouveau entrance doorknob set, made by Reading Hardware Co. in the “Eulalia” design featured in their 1897 catalog (the pattern was later renamed “Americus”). Unlike any other set we’ve seen, this entry doorknob set features an extra-wide double border around the edge of each knob. Made of bronze, the knobs feature a recessed center ornamented with Art Nouveau leaf detail, surrounded by a wide, raised border. This set includes two door knobs with their connecting spindle and set screws. The door hardware is in very good antique condition. The larger doorknob is 2 ½” in diameter and 2 ¼” deep; the smaller knob is 2 ¼” by 2 ¼”. NDK48-RW   « Less

A gorgeous antique bronze Art Nouveau door hardware set, with knobs and plates, in Russell & Erwin’s “De Bercy” pattern, signed and patent dated April 12, 1890. These R&E doorknobs feature a flowing, asymmetrical design of vines and flowers with an egg-and-dart border. The backplates feature a beautifully detailed design of leaves and volutes. The set includes the doorknobs with the connecting rod and set screws, and a pair of doorplates. This door hardware set is in very good antique condition; there is a scratch on one knob that is barely noticeable. A beautiful antique cast iron door hardware set, dating between the 1890’s and 1910 and retaining some of its original bronze finish. Made and signed by Branford Lock Works, these doorknobs feature an incredibly detailed design with scrolling leaves in the center, surrounded by a swirled background and a rope border. The plates are ornamented with an elegant leaf design at the top and bottom, with rope running down each side of the plate. The background features a repetition all-over scroll background found on the knobs. The set includes the doorknobs with the connecting rod and set screws, and a pair of doorplates. Dating from the 1880’s, each set features cast iron doorknobs with a stylized flower and a zigzag border; the doorplates feature a coordinating design with stylized leaves, flowers, and geometric detail. A smaller repetition of the plate design ornaments the faceplate on the mortise lock. This set is in excellent condition.
