Antique Silverplate Serving Dish Circa. 1900 Sheffield plate. Silverplate over copper. Measures 13.5 inches wide, from end of one hand to the end of the other handle. 10.5 inches deep. The dish (or bowl) is 3.25 inches high on 4 feet. The diameter of the dish alone is approximately 11 inches. The shallow bowl has slightly undulating lobes edged with raised, applied scrolls; alternating with flowers. The flower motif continues into the bowl with raised buds and flowers surrounded by etched leaves. There is an unidentified mark on the back, consisting of an H between two sunbursts. There is minor wear in the silverplate on some raised areas, which reveals the copper. This is the condition known as 'bleeding" and is considered desireable by some collectors. Antique Silver-Plate PItcher & Bowl Set Circa. 1900 American Originally used as a sugar bowl and creamer. Now, you can use the pitcher for flowers and the bowl for candy, pot-pourri, etc. 5 hallmarks. The pitcher measures 6 1/2 inches high and 4 1/2 inches wide at widest (at the handle) The top opening is 1 1/2 inches in diameter. The base measures 2 1/4 inches square. The bowl measures 5 inches high and 6 3/4 inches wide at handles. The opening at top measures 4 1/4 inches in diameter. Both items have been recently re-plated and are in great condition. Early 20th Century. Signed Barker-Ellis, Edwardian, three piece tea set in silver-plate. This fine English company has been very well known sine 1801 for it's high quality silverware. This lovely set features an unusual sugar bowl in the form of a coal scuttle with a fitted scoop. All three pieces have a fine etched floral motif and the tea pot pot has a small ebonized wood finial and ivory insulators on the handle. All the pieces are in extra nice original condition with no monograms, dents or repairs and only light scratches. Price 495 for the set.   « Less

Signed Wm Rodgers, large dome topped silver plate butter dish. Beautiful Repose Rococo motifs on both the feet, knife holder and outer edge, grace this fine piece of Victorian table ware. The tall domed cover is finely fluted, graduating into a button shaped finial. Fine original glass insert in cut and frosted glass. I have added a vintage, silver plate butter knife that fits well. Very fine condition with no dents to the metal or plate loss, and only one small rim chip to the glass insert. Marked "quadruple plate". 73/4" diameter x 6 1/2" tall. 71/2" butter knife.   « Less

Rare antique silver-plate centerpiece/presentation bowl signed with the early mark for E.G. Webster & Son of New York City & Brooklyn. This company was founded in 1860 by Elizur G. Webster. This elegant piece of ornate silver-plate can be used to hold a flower arrangement or used to present bowls of special foods at dinners, parties or gatherings. The top bowl of the centerpiece is round and has a beaded edge. It has some depth to it which allows it to hold another bowl for food or small flower vase for an arrangement. The top of the centerpiece is held up by a figural winged Putti. This excellent piece of American silver is a wonderful example of high-style Victorian table ware favored by the style setters of the Period. The base of the centerpiece is square and is footed at each corner to raise the base up above the surface of the table. This piece is in very good condition with no dents or repairs and only some very minor scratches on the inside of the bowl. Over-all the silver-plate is in very fine original condition. This centerpiece is all one piece, no parts separate or unscrew. Marked on the bottom with the E.G. Webster mark and the number 189. The centerpiece itself measures 11" tall at its highest point and the square base measures 6" wide.   « Less
