This is a superb pair of antique Spanish Revival sconces, dating from the 1920’s. These cast bronze single-arm sconces retain their original polychrome finish with brilliant red and blue accents. Each sconce features an intricately cast back plate ornamented with volutes, scrolls, and florets. The base of the back plate is finished in an anthemion. A fluted, U-shaped arm extends from the bottom of the back plate, supporting a superbly cast bobeche that features a leaf-and-dart pattern and beading. These wall lamps are in excellent condition; they have been professionally rewired and come with all the necessary attachments for modern installation. We kept the original nonfunctioning turn switches for nostalgia’s sake; however, we will gladly replace them with new ones if desired. The sconces measure 4 ¾” wide, 11 ¾” tall, and project 5 ¾” from the wall. A matching set of three double-arm sconces is available under item # NSP341.   « Less

This is a magnificent set of three antique English Tudor single-arm sconces. Dating from the 1920’s, the sconces are in their original, beautifully aged silver plate over bronze. Each sconce features a shield-shaped back plate, crowned with a finial flanked by volutes. A chevron runs across the back plate. The fluted sconce arm supports a beautifully cast bobeche ornamented with crests and addorsed volutes. The wall lamps are in excellent condition with a wonderful patina; they have been professionally rewired and come with all the necessary attachments for modern installation. This is a beautiful pair of antique double-arm sconces with prisms, dating from the 1920 s. The back plate of each sconce is bordered in a leaf-and-berry pattern and crowned with volutes and florets. A floret button, surrounded by a wreath, accents the center of each back plate. The sconce arms, adorned with volutes, curve outward from the base of the back plate to support simple silver plated brass bobeches. Four elegant icicle prisms hang from each bobeche. The wall lamps are in excellent condition with a wonderful patina; they have been professionally rewired and come with all the necessary attachments for modern installation. This is a pair of superbly cast, single-arm iron sconces dating 1920 s-1930 s in original polychrome finish. These delightful sconces feature octagonal back plates with twisted rope border and smooth inner ring. A single arrow pierces each center ring, goes through a border or foliates and scrolls and touches the twisted rope. The sconces are crowned with large stylized anthemion finials. Simple, S-curved, iron arms spring from the lower portion of the backs and hold tulip-shaped bobeches. They are signed by their maker, the Moe-Bridges Company. The wall lamps are in excellent condition. They have been professionally rewired and come with all the necessary attachments for modern installation. The sconces are 10 long, 4 wide, and protrude 4 from the wall. The same sconces, in a different color, are also available under item # NSP244_RW. This is a superb pair of antique brass single-arm sconces. Dating from the 1920 s, the sconces retain their original polychrome finish with red and turquoise accents. The back plate of each sconce features a vine design with a floret button in the center, and is bordered in a torsade pattern. A curled band, edged in a rope pattern, extends upward from the bottom of the elongated back plate, supporting an intricately cast acanthus bobeche with turquoise accents. The bottom of the back plate is wrapped in acanthus and finished in an acorn finial. These wall lamps are in excellent condition; they have been professionally rewired and come with all the necessary attachments for modern installation. The sconces measure 12 tall, 5 wide, and project 7 from the wall. This is a marvelous antique Arts & Crafts exterior lantern sconce with original glass, dating from the early 1900’s. The sconce features a square back plate that extends outward at the center into a squared arm; the arm ends in a cube, supporting the lantern and topped with a finial. A four-sided, sloping roof comes down to meet the four textured glass panels. Over the glass, each side of the sconce features a design of an inverted triangle with a large, circular cutout. This wall lamp is in excellent condition with no cracks or breaks to the glass. The sconce has been professionally rewired and comes with all the necessary attachments for modern installation.
