Circa 1900 Choisy le Roi Majolica plate decorated with a pheasant walking through woodland. Shaped rim. Cream reverse with three stilt marks. Printed maker''s mark and impressed ''M'' inside a circle inside the foot. Good. No restoration. No cracks. No hairlines. No chips. No flakes. Slight wear to the front. Very rare majolica dog plate with scrolled foliate border. A shallow edge chip about one quarter by one half inch. A chip to the inside base rim about one quarter by one inch. Very appealing shaggy dog sitting in front of his doghouse with a bone in a dish at his feet. Measures 11.25 inches across by 1.75 inches high. Colors are green, puce, yellow, and white. Unmarked. Boylston Antiques is Proud to Offer for Sale An Antique Overlapping Begonia Pattern Majolica Compote Cake Stand C 1860-1880 This 10” diameter pottery compote or cake stand has brilliant green, brown and yellow overlapping begonia leaves in the center of the shallow bowl. The leaf colors then shade outwardly to a pale pink which turns into a turquoise and cream shade on the wide upturned outer rim. The greenish turquoise leaf pattern is repeated on the wide, footed stem. The leaves on the stem overlay a brownish, bark-like pattern. The underside of the bowl has a green, brown and yellow glaze reminiscent of water colors. There are several areas on the rim of the upper side of the bowl where the colors of the underside appear to have migrated to the upper side. This color migration can occur when the glaze is fired. The underside of the hollow stem is glazed a mocha yellow. No marks are evident. Overall Height: 5 7/8” Base Diameter: 4 ¾”. Bowl Diameter: 10”. This plate is free of chips and cracks. The underside of the bowl is slightly crazed, as one might expect in a piece of pottery of this age. Please ask any questions prior to offering to purchase. I have a beautiful Antique Continental Majolica Art Nouveau Vase. The vase is stunning and in beautiful antique condition with gold trim on it. The only damage is a slight scratch on the back that is very hard to see but No other damage cracks, repairs nothing just beautiful. As you can see I have two of these vases but the handles are different colors but the family that owned these stated these have always been together as a set. The vase measure a little over 13" tall and 5" wide. Marked numbers on the bottoms. These will be doubled boxed for safe delivery. This stunning vase I have for sale is beautiful! Look at the beautiful Peters & Reed Art Nouveau lady on the vase. The vase is in nice antique condition with a small chip at the top and a piece that has been glued back on but displays beautiful. The piece could be easily be professionally be restored. The vase does have crazing but with this glaze and how old the vase is this is common. This glaze is referred to as the tiger eye glaze. The vase measures 11" tall and 6 1/2" wide The vase is not marked but they did not mark all there items. Circa 1892-1903 This will be doubled boxed for safe delivery.
