Beautiful antique English silver Victorian large sugar bowl with high relief flowers, shell, and foliate design. There is a cartouche with a 3 letter monogram on one side of the bowl. The underside is marked with a walking lion, a panther head, RH, A, and a Queen Victoria portrait face. This is a lovely example of the finest quality English Victorian silver sugar bowl. Beautiful antique hand chased with silvered gilt flowers French silver and gold box. The box has a French hallmark within a diamond border incised on the inside top of the box. On the bottom it has the Minerva mark indicating 19th century French silver. The gold interior is really beautiful. Most of the time when these boxes were made they didn’t use that much gold. They used a lot of gold on the interior of this box. It is numbered 548 on the interior lip and is also marked with the Minerva head. This is an extraordinary box in superb condition. It measures 3 inches long, 1-1/8 inches wide, and 1-1/4 inches high. Weight 69.1 grams. The box is in superb mint condition as if it has been in a time capsule for 150 years and just opened. To his right is engraved the date 1649. To his left is more engraving. The entire beaker is gold plated over the silver. There are 4 Austrian cast silver coins dating from the 17th century inset in the beaker. All of the decorative design is in full high relief. The beaker is in excellent condition.
