Edwardian - Great Pair of 1920 Art Deco Wall Sconces Antique sconces. Cast backplates in a Hi/Low pewter finish, with great design detail. The shades are really quite interesting. Heavy cast glass, with a heavy embossed faux-cut design. The shades are amber in color, with clear borders of ball designs. Measurements: * Height: 15 ½" overall. * Width: 6" maximum (shade). * Projection: 8" from the wall into the room. These sconces are larger than normal, and project into the room more than most sconces of the era. If you wish sconces that make a statement, these might do. Electrical: These sconces have been totally re-wired in our UL shop. Normal sockets for everyday medium base bulbs were installed in each. The on/off switch is mounted onto the backplate. Note that with the re-wire, rayon covered antique style twisty-wire was used. You can see it in the side view picture running along the top of the arm to the socket cluster. The sconce mounts with one normal sconce mounting all thread to a normal electrical box from within the case. All mounting hardware will be supplied. Pair of Traditional Black and Gold Edwardian Style Porch Lights This pair of porch lights is...judging by the sockets we took out...only about 40 to 50 years old. While they are metal cast, they do have some old heavy paint on them...black and gold. Rustic! Judging by the glass, they were made in Italy, as the glass is very Venetian-looking with the bubbles etc. We have not touched the clarity of the glass, but perhaps a coating of opal glass paint would be an idea...IF...you did not like the clear glass. These lights can be used on a porch...or...under a soffit...as they will be UL DAMP approved. Measurements: * Height: 20" overall. * Width: 8 ½" overall. * Projection: 13" from the wall. Their size does make an impression! These lights have been totally re-wired, in our UL registered shop, with new sockets and a new main stem wire. Pair of Antique 1920s Edwardian Wall Sconces with Cup Shades Pair of Edwardian circa 1920 wall sconces. Mixed metals are being used here, with a cast iron backplate and wrought steel metal arm and shade holder. All finishes are matching pewter in color. The antique shades are very nice, with a frosted background and clear designs. Some wear and tear on the shade colors (as expected with old shades), but nothing terribly significant. The design is embossed into the glass, which is a nice sign of quality. Measurements: * Height: 10 ¼" overall. * Width: 6 ½" maximum, including the shade. * Projection: 7 ½" from the wall into the room. These sconces have been completely rewired in our UL shop with new sockets and all new original rayon twisty wire. We have also replaced the switches, made by Leviton in the 20s...and still made up to two years ago. So these switches, by Leviton, are becoming even more antique as we note this. This is a magnificent pair of antique double-arm cast bronze sconces, dating from the early 1900’s. Each sconce features a round backplate with four square corners and a beveled border. Two sconce arms, formed of twisted rods, extend straight out to support two torch-like rods with beautifully cast bobeches made to look like flower petals. The arms are connected by a large bronze circle with a quatrefoil and fleurs-de-lis in the center. The circle attaches at the sides with bronze leaves. These wall lamps are in excellent condition; they have been professionally rewired and come with all the necessary attachments for modern installation. The sconces measure 20 ¼” tall, 9 ¼” wide, and project 4 ¼” from the wall. NSP523-RW   « Less
