Victorian, circa 1860 Small Staffordshire standing russet and white spaniel figure, modeled carrying a basket of flowers in its mouth. Tail curled over back. Ochre line to base. Vent hole to underside. Generally good. No cracks. No chips. A few paint losses to russet markings. Kiln effects: craze lines to the front and reverse; a couple of shrinkage lines to the reverse; bruise to tail; base slightly uneven, causing item to rock slightly. Cream reverse with impressed ''WEDGWOOD'' maker''s mark, ''J'', and three letter date cipher ''AIH'' for 1879 inside the foot. Also painted pattern number ''M2781 1/2.''. Good. No restoration. No cracks. No hairlines. Flake to rim. Some wear to the front. Victorian, circa 1870 Majolica jardiniere and stand molded as brown bamboo canes with a banana leaf wrapped around the outside of the jardiniere. Pink interior. Drainage hole to base of jardiniere, and three stilt marks on both sides of the stand. Mottled green, brown and cream glazes and three stilt marks to center of stand. Ochre reverse with a painted mark, impressed pattern registration diamond for 17th October 1876, and three stilt marks inside the foot. Generally good. Jardiniere: No restoration. A number of small flakes and some wear to exterior. Three hairlines to drainage hole on underside. Kiln effects: heavy crazing to interior; some glaze pops around drainage hole to interior; brown glaze run to exterior; glaze accumulation and a glaze miss to the base edge. Stand: Two small flakes to rim. Some wear to center. Kiln effects: two over glazed shrinkage lines to rim; some brown glaze run to under rim; glaze miss to the rim.
