For sale is this lot of Henriot Quimper Soleil yellow octagonal cups and saucers, 4 total. There are 2 breton men and 2 breton women. Two cups have rim chips, one is in good condition and one has a paint flake on the side. Various marks on the cups and saucers, a couple have been shown in the pictures. The saucers are about 5 1/4" while the cups stand just over 2" high. Desirable circa 1930's kitchenware.   « Less

A fine Worcester mug or tankard with the Parrot Pecking Fruit printed pattern. This is the second version. A broad grooved loop handle with the body of the mug being slightly tapered from the base to the top. The Worcester underglazed hatched crescent to the base. In beautiful condition a fine clear print with only the minutest of glaze flake to the rim just above the parrots tail. No chips cracks or restoration. A very fine Worcester trio comprising saucer, tea and coffee cup all hand decorated with panels of Chinese style flowers on a wet blue ground. The panels enriched with foliate sprays and gilt border. Leading experts state that it is not common to find them associated with blue ground decoration. A coffee cup and saucer the same as offered here sold at Bonhams on the 16th March 2004 for £896. The saucer and coffee cup marked with the Worcester crescent. Tea cup marked with the script W. The condition is excellent with no chips, cracks or restoration. The saucer has a small patch of kiln dirt to the reverse, the gilt and enamels are very good with virtually no wear. The coffee cup has a small firing fault where the handles upper terminal joins the body, the enamels and gilt are excellent. The tea cup in beautiful condition there is a small semi circular patch of glaze where it touched another item in the kiln and just light wear to the gilt on the rim. A truly exceptional Worcester mug decorated in the Plantation Print pattern with grooved loop handle. The mug is of slightly waisted shape with flared foot and top rims. The pattern is clear with no blurring. The condition is perfect, incredibly this mug has survived for 250 years with no damage at all not even a scratch. I very much doubt it has had any use. The Worcester crescent to the base which appears as an open crescent with a smaller hatched crescent inside. The open crescent indicates hand painting but this is not the earlier hand painted example of the Plantation pattern. Measures 11.8cms high. A very fine Worcester porcelain tea bowl and saucer showing the Bat pattern. A fine underglazed blue print showing a vase of flowers in a fenced garden with a bat flying overhead. The light blue washed sections were hand applied. The saucer has the Worcester hatched crescent mark while the tea bowl shows the Worcester disguised '1' mark. Both pieces are in excellent condition with no chips, cracks or restoration. There are a few small frits to the footrim of the teabowl and on close inspection the glaze in this area has the charecteristic bubbles in the glaze. The saucer has a couple of original firing faults on the back around the footrim. The tea bowl measures 48mm high x 76mm diameter. The saucer measures 33mm high x 134mm diameter.
