Offered is collectible vintage alligator skin by Bass in a beautiful retro style. This is a great handbag with unique Deco brass hardware, from 1940's-1950's. Gorgeous chocolate brown color with very soft and subtle skins. Full of style and personality. Lined with brown genuine leather. There is nothing noticeably wrong at all with this purse. It is actually mint, but the brass hardware is a bit yellowed and the inside pocket detail with gold is a bit worn, so I gave it near mint. The hinge is Elbief England, hence, I suspect it is made in England. The lining is silky soft suede and clean as it was when it was new. Hardware is shiny and works perfectly. Beautiful, genuine ostrich skin Kelly bag, hand made by this high end leather company. This handbag is in superb, almost mint condition with no wear at all to the outside and barely any marks to the suede lining to show that it has been used. It is a very sophisticated and understated handbag which oozes quality. The skin is supple and immaculate in black rather than the tan which ostrich or faux ostrich handbags more often tend to be. The shape of the handbag is sleek yet large enough for all your essentials. The stylish and unusual deco brass clasp is a bit faded but still looks great. The frame is covered in ostrich skin. The interior of the handbag is simple and uncomplicated with a rich caramel brown suede lining. There is one zipped pocket onto which is sewn the fabric label with 'Pointer Gold Medal' on it as well as a slip pocket on the opposite side.
