Beautiful Victorian English silver coffee pot. The lettering on the side has the maker's mark that reads TWD,a walking lion, a panther head, the date letter M, and a portrait of Queen Victoria. The pot has its original ebony wood handle. The letter marking dates this 1887. It is in very good pre-owned condition with no dents or dings and no monograms. The underside reads Dobson Piccadilly indicating the merchant that sold this piece, not the maker. This is a beautiful unusually shaped coffee pot guaranteed to please any advanced English silver collector. Height to the top of the handle 8 inches. From the pouring spout to the back of the handle it measures 6-7/8 inches. Height to the top of the silver finial 8-1/4 inches. Diameter at the top is 4-1/4 inches. The urn-form Bobeche above a tapering floral decorated stem flanked with cherub heads over a dome pierced base decorated with frolicking cherubs. Height 8 inches. Diameter 4-1/4 inches. Beautiful antique silver and gilt fish service in fitted case. The silver handles are marked 800 with a crescent moon, a crown, and maker's marks. Please see enlargements for details. This is a very rare and beautiful set . The handles are 800 Continental silver. The knife blades and fork trines are gold plated and marked ACIER. The set is in its original fitted case. There are six (6) fish forks six (6) fish knives and two (2) fish servers. The fish forks measure 7-3/4 inches long. The fish knives measure 8-3/4 inches long. The fish serving knife measures 11-1/8 inches long and is marked HB on one side of the blade. The fish serving fork measures 10 inches long. The fitted case measures 19-3/4 inches long by 13 inches wide by 1-1/2 inches deep. Sets like this only come up for sale when found in an estate. This was a recent purchase from one of our world wide buying trips. This is the first time this set has been seen or offered for sale in the United States. Beautiful French 935 silver gilt wash enamel compact. The compact has beautiful engraving on the bottom and a sky blue enamel on top. The interior has a glass cover over one side where one might keep a picture or lock of hair. There is a ring at the top for a chain. The glass has a tiny chip along the interior edge approximately 1/8 inch long. Otherwise the condition is excellent. Large antique enamel silver box with maker's marks and purity marks incised in the outer lip. The markings are an owl standing over the letters AD, 950.M. The inside of the box shows traces of a gilt wash. The sides of the box have a detailed border of continuous diamonds. The top sides of the box have the same matching border. The top of the box has a beautiful enamel subject depicting 2 lovers on a swing with singing birds on a branch in the background. This is one of the most beautiful guilloche enamels you might ever hope to find. The man is swinging himself and his girlfriend back and forth in the swing while she tenderly embraces him as he looks lovingly back at her. Bordering the enamel composition are 3 additional enamel borders, 2 white and 1 blue. The blue enamel border has lovely roses engraved under the enameling. This is an extremely rare box a once in a lifetime find. The purity mark indicates 950 fine silver. Sterling silver is marked 925 this box was made of the highest purity silver available in the 19th century. The box has a diameter of 4 inches, height 1-1/2 inches. Weight 205.8 grams. The enameling is flawless with the exception of a tiny pin point size loss along the bark of the tree in the background, mentioned for the sake of accuracy. This is perhaps the most beautiful multi colored enamel antique silver box we have had the pleasure to offer for sale, guaranteed to please the most particular collector or connoisseur.
