Edwardian Solid Brass/Bronze Wall Sconces with Art Glass Shades What a nice turn-of-the-century pair of sconces these really are! Solid Brass/Bronze sconces with a high/low antique finish, but still revealing the quality of the metal. Very nice, and high-end. Those original antique shades are simply works of art by themselves. The shades were formed into a mold for the pattern and amber color. Then the ruby-tipped edges were applied with a special transparent tinting process. They are in great condition and color for their age. The Amber and Ruby color combination is very attractive. Measurements: * Height: 9" * Width: 4 ¾" * Projection: 8" from the wall into the room. These sconces have been completely re-wired in our UL shop, with new sockets to conform to UL guidelines. Each socket is capable of accepting a 100 watt bulb...but...due to the shade height...bulbs need to be chosen carefully. We used short LED bulbs, and we will include them in the purchase. Pair of Antique Two-Arm Wall Sconces Circa 1920s Wonderful pair of matching 1920s to Art Deco sconces. The backplates are cast iron with a lovely pewter patina. The center section has a variation of the hammered effect pattern, but is more stylized. Note too, that the first level of the fitter for the shades matches the arm pattern. A striking design which would work with so many decorative motifs like: Arts & Crafts; Gothic; Deco; and even a 20s look. The shades are great quilted amber and tall glass cylinders. Very minor roughness in a very few places...but not really noticeable. The shades are taller than normal, so we would suggest the use of T10 tube bulbs to light more of the length of the shade. Normal medium base sockets have been installed. Measurements: * Height: 11" * Width: 6" (at the backplate) * Projection: 3 ½" from the wall into the room. Completely rewired to UL standards in our UL shop with new medium base sockets. A rotary switch has been installed in each sconce. FIVE Available Wonderful Matching 1920s or Edwardian Sconces The backplates of these antique sconces are cast metal, with a lovely pewter patina. The center section has a variation of scrolls with a bloom circle pattern, but more stylized. A pretty well thought-out design. Shades are great...made of simple opal glass, with a series of concentric rings to the top. While these sconces are near-identical...there are some just-slight variations, probably due to them being bought at slightly different times. Hardly noticeable for a set of this size. Measurements: * Backplate: 9" tall by 5" wide. * Projection: 4" from the wall into the room. Completely re wired to UL standards in our UL shop, with new medium base sockets.
