For sale is a lovely piece of Art Glassmade by The Stevens and Williams Glass Company of Stourbridge, West Midlands England. It is also possible that this was made by Thomas Webb. The Item is a Sherbet Bowl and it is done in the ever popular Vaseline Opalescent Glass. The Bowl stands 2 3/8" tall and is approximately 5 3/4" in diameter.
The Bowl displays a beautiful highly irregular heavily ruffled outer Border. The Opalescence surrounds the entire outer edge. This opalescence sits just below the outer edge and is approximately 1 1 /4" thick. The Base Glass is a Yellow Green when it is held to the light. The Glass has a very Vaseline textured feel to it when handled.
The Bowl is considered to be in excellent condition as there are no cracks, nicks, chips or dings. The Bowl is unsigned but it does display a counter sunk polished Pontil. This is the sign of a quality piece of Art Glass. Vaseline Glass is highly collected today as it was extremely popular during the Victorian Era. I would say that this wonderful piece of Vaseline Glass was made circa 1880-1895.

For sale is a wonderful piece of Art Glass blown by The Steuben Glass Company of Corning, New York. The item is a large Optic Swirl Flower Vase. The Vase has a larger than normal size opening and is just splendid. The Vase is blown in Frederick Carder's very desirable French Blue Art Glass. The Vase is a nice large size as it stands 6 7/8" tall and is 6 7/8" in diameter.
The Vase displays a very beautiful Crystal French Blue Color that is superb! The Vase has a nice wide cylindrical shape with a flaring top edge. It starts round at the bottom and spirals counter clockwise towards the top and gracefully flairs out at the top. The Swirl is ribbed and it starts at the top in high relief and works it way all the way down to the bottom disappearing into the round foot. The Foot is made from the same piece of glass and is not an applied foot.
The Vase is considered to be in very good to excellent condition as there are no cracks, nicks, chips or dings. There are some minor scratches along the bottom quarter exterior of the vase and is consistent with age wear. There is also an inclusion on the inside middle of the vase and can be felt when touched. This is a trapped piece of sand that did not liquidly in the making. The Vase has a countersunk Polished Pontil. The sign of quality Art Glass. The piece is Signed with Steuben's Acid Etched Stamped "Fleur de Lis" Mark with "Steuben" inside.
Those of you who collect Colored Steuben and wants a very nice example will be pleased with their purchase. This is known as shape number 6030 in the Steuben Catalog pages. This piece was made during the Frederick Carder Years, Circa 1918-1932. « Less

For sale is a wonderful piece of Art Glass made by The Steuben Glass Company of Corning, New York. The Item is a Hand Blown "Reeded Bowl" and it is done in the Verre de Soie More »
For sale is a wonderful piece of Art Glass made by The Steuben Glass Company of Corning, New York. The Item is a Hand Blown "Reeded Bowl" and it is done in the Verre de Soie Style of Glass. This was Frederick Carder's Favorite Glass he formulated. Verre de Soie literally means "Glass of Silk". When you run the exterior of the Bowl across your face it really feels like Silk!! The Bowl is a nice size as it stands 3 5/8" tall and is 8 1/4" in diameter. The foot has a diameter of 3"
The Body of the Bowl displays a Milky White Iridescence with a Quilted Background Pattern on the inside as you can feel the raised relief. This Bowl sits on a round foot that is actually blown right into the bottom and not attached. The exterior top edge of the Bowl has wonderful Gold Ruby Reeding. This starts at the very outer lip and works its way down about 1/3 of the way. The Gold Ruby Reeding has an almost soft Pinky/Red hue.
The Bowl is considered to be in excellent condition as there are no cracks, nicks, chips or dings. The Reeding is also in excellent condition as there isn't even a nick to one of the Reeds. This Bowl appears to have been well taken care of during its life. This Bowl is unsigned as this Style of Glass "Verre de Soie" usually carried a paper label. The Bowl does display a counter sunk Polished Pontil. This is the sign of Quality Hand Blown Art Glass.
Steuben Art Glass is some the Highest Quality Glass you can own. At the turn of the Century LCT Tiffany Studio's Favrile line was their main competitor and Steuben fared equally as well. Steuben created some of the nicest Art Glass Vases the World has ever seen.
This is Design # 2851 in the definitive Steuben reference, Paul Gardner's, The Glass of Frederick Carder, page. 142. The Steuben Club Website's Shape Gallery also confirms this as well as the decoration applied to the Bowl. This Bowl was made Circa 1905-1920. « Less

For sale I have a beautiful piece of glass made by the Moser Glassworks Company of Karlsbad, Austria. The form is an enameled and reeded tumbler done in a floral motif. The tumbler measures 3 7/8" tall and is 2 5/8 " in diameter.
The tumbler is a Jacobean style floral decoration that has hand painted gold leaves and flowers accented with pink, blue, green, yellow and purple enameling. This is all set on a clear reeded swirl background and gold accented rim. The rim of this tumbler is cut and polished therefore determining that it was blown from the top.
The tumbler is considered to be in Excellent Condition as there are no chips, cracks, nicks or dings. There is minor gold accent loss along the rim but no bare areas and you really have to look hard to notice it. This is a lovely piece to add to any art glass or tumbler collection and I'm sure the lucky buyer will not be disappointed.
This tumbler was made Circa 1900-1910. « Less

For Auction I have a very nice Art Glass Plate made by Tiffany Studios, New York. This is one of the Rarest Tiffany Plates I have ever purchased. The Plate measures 1/2" Tall More »
For Auction I have a very nice Art Glass Plate made by Tiffany Studios, New York. This is one of the Rarest Tiffany Plates I have ever purchased. The Plate measures 1/2" Tall and is 7" in diameter. This would be considered a Luncheon Plate.
This Plate displays a beautiful Gold Favrile Border with Green Favrile Band that is about 5/16" thick. This band is further accented with Gold Favrile inner Border. This decoration is on a base glass that is a white or calcite in color. On the interior of the plate it looks more Yellow because of the Gold Favrile fuming. The white picked it up and gives this more of a Custard Color. The underside shows the calcite white.
The Plate is considered to be in excellent condition as there are no cracks, nicks, chips or dings. It has a very large counter sunk polished Pontil. The sign of a quality piece of Art Glass. The Plate is properly signed with Tiffany's Etched counter clockwise signature mark. Its is written in script "X299 L.C. Tiffany-Favrile". Tiffany marked most of his Favrile pieces with either a Prefix or Suffix Letter and a number. This helped in determining the year of manufacture. The only time Tiffany used the letter "X" was for "Experimental" pieces such as this one. I can only guess by the low number following the "X" that this is a very early piece.
This Plate was made circa 1895-1900. « Less
