Culture: Archaic Greek. Date: 6th Century B.C. Material: Silver. Condition: Intact,very good, with hues of bluish/purple iridescence. Provenance: Ex: Prominent American private collection; Ex: New York City art market. Measurements: 3 inches high (7.5 cms), 4 inches in diam. (10 cms). This hammered cup with a globular bowl, has a rounded bottom, the ringed neck flares to a wide mouthed rim. All Greek silver are very rare. Measurements: 3.5 INCHES HIGH, (8.9 CMS). An exceptional example of early core formed glass, with cylindrical body and rounded base, the short neck with flattened and splayed rim, the shoulder with twin pierced ring handles with flaring trails, the aubergine body matrix is decorated with beige white wavy trails and so is the rim.
