Pair of vintage bakelite and rhinestone hat pins, made during the Art Deco period. Each pin measures 3 7/8inches long. The pins are designed like a twisted leaf with two berries - one on either side of the twist. The whole is richly set with imbedded rhinestones and iron dots, reminiscent of pique (when gold was imbedded in natural-shell). Scrutiny under a magnifying glass shows that one or two of the tiny dots are missing (not visible to the naked eye), but all rhinestones are present. No damage to the bakelite. Fabulous vintage pearl collar / choker, made in Japan for Lembeck Inc. Perfect for a bride or designer outfit.Measures 10 1/2 inches accross, excluding the ties, when lieing flat.I am not a pearl expert, so I do not know whether these are faux, real or cultured. They are beautiful. Graded from small on the outer sides to large in the center, the pearls have a wonderful lustrous patina, a warm shine in a creamy colour with a hint of apricot. The ties end in brown coloured pearls held in a metal cup, like flowers in a calyx. The pearls are sewn onto silk fabric, with original lable reading Especially Made for Lembeck, Inc. Peacock brooch / pin dating from the Arts and Crafts / Art Nouveau era. Unmarked, but possibly 18K gold with clear and green rhinestones. Measures 1 1/2inches top to bottom.Sculpted peacock. The body is entirely covered in rhinestones- possibly / marcasites. The huge, fan tail, composed of finely worked gold / gold washed metal is set with green synthetic stones. Super-fine detail down to the heart-shaped end of the lock. No hallmark found. Very good condition.Peacocks were a popular Arts and Crafts and Nouveau subject. Vintage 18karat gold, diamond and lapis lazuli earrings for pierced ears, dating from about 1940-50.A little under an inch long. Weigh about 1/2oz together.Irregular sunburst or fluted fan with a teardrop shaped lapis lazuli, blue stone in the center. A small diamond is attached on the corner of each. One of the butterfly clips at the back is possibly a replacement, but this is obviously not visible in any way. Both butterflies are 14k. The earrings are guarruanteed tested for 18 k.
