This three-light “wedding cake” chandelier begins with a loop finial atop a brass baluster; below, the chandelier features a sleek reeded band. The chandelier continues in four tiers of sparkling icicle prisms, and is finished in a faceted crystal ball. This is a fantastic antique copper semi-flush mount lantern with verdigris. Dating from the late 19th Century, this large lantern retains its original glass cylinder, turned purple from sun exposure. The lantern begins with a simple canopy that attaches to a bold copper loop; below, the lantern features a round sloped roof and a hand-riveted frame, with the lavender glass cylinder inside. The chandelier is in excellent condition, and the glass is also in excellent condition with no cracks or breaks. This light fixture has been professionally rewired and comes with all the necessary attachments for modern installation. The lantern is 8” wide and 21” tall. These are three matching antique dark green enamel and porcelain industrial light fixtures, circa 1925, from a commercial building in downtown Nashville. Normally, you would find this type of fixture with a round shade; these, however, have a very unusual elongated shade with a white porcelain interior. They would be perfect for any loft apartment or contemporary home. Due to the age to these fixtures, the shades have a few chips; however, they do not detract from the beauty of the fixtures. This is a magnificent pair of antique double-arm Georgian sconces with prisms, dating from the 1920’s and made of cast iron. Each sconce features a rectangular backplate ornamented with flowing leaf detail, showing Art Nouveau influence. The backplate has a rope border and is crowned with a bouquet of flowers, with delicate volute detail running down the sides of the backplate. The sconce arms extend from an anthemion at the base of the sconce, and are accented with a bead pattern. The bobeches are ornamented with a leaf design and hung with icicle prisms. These wall lamps are in excellent condition; they have been professionally rewired and come with all the necessary attachments for modern installation. We kept the original nonfunctioning turn switches for nostalgia’s sake; however, we will gladly replace them with new ones if desired.
