This is an amazing antique iron and brass five-light chandelier. Dating from the 1920’s, the chandelier retains its original polychrome finish with red and blue accents. The chandelier begins with an intricate, looping brass finial with a red and blue center, which attaches to a brass pole running the length of the chandelier body. Five bands, connected to each other at the middle of the chandelier by blue and red volute ornaments, form the chandelier body and curve out at the base to form the chandelier arms. Each arm supports an intricately cast, faux-hammered bobeche with rope detail. The bottom of the chandelier finishes in a diamond-shaped finial with a polychrome floret in the center. This light fixture is in excellent condition. It has been professionally rewired and comes with all the necessary attachments for modern installation. The chandelier body measures 20 ½” wide and 20 ¼” tall, and the fixture is 36 ½” long overall. NC785-RW   « Less

This is a fantastic antique pendant light with an unusual globe, made by Macbeth Evans Glass Company. Designer H. H. Blau filed a patent for these “inclosing globe” lights in 1929 (you can see a copy of the patent at http://www.freepatentsonline.com/1778305.pdf), and the shade is signed with the patent number. According to the patent, this pendant was designed to have a similar look to inverted dome chandeliers, but is completely enclosed to keep it clean inside. The fixture features a shade with a clear top and a translucent, bowl-shaped lower portion, supported by a sleek shade holder and a rod attached to a canopy. The rod features a joint that allows it to tilt, so that it can be mounted on a sloped ceiling. This light fixture is in excellent condition with no cracks or breaks to the glass, just the expected fleabites around the rim. The chandelier has been professionally rewired and comes with all the necessary attachments for modern installation. The pendant measures 16” wide and 16” tall (body only) and 36” long overall. This is a wonderful antique three-light Art Deco chandelier with sit-in shades, dating from the 1930’s. The chandelier begins with a circular loop finial crossed with two curved pieces in a split V. Below, a trumpet-shaped section supports the chandelier body, which features three arms connected to the body by arches. Each arm supports a charming custard shade and a finial. The center of the chandelier finishes in an acorn finial. This light fixture is in excellent condition; it has been professionally rewired and comes with all the necessary attachments for modern installation. This is a splendid antique six-light Art Deco chandelier in its original nickel over brass. Dating from the 1930’s, the chandelier begins with a loop finial ornamented with zigzags, coming down in waterfall-like pieces ornamented with wings. A circular band with Art Deco detail supports five chandelier arms; each arm is accented with a wing at the base and an elegant bobeche with a baluster finial. Each bobeche is hung with icicle prisms, and the chandelier body finishes in a sparkling border of prisms. The sixth light of the chandelier is inside the prism border, creating a beautiful effect. This light fixture is in excellent condition; it has been professionally rewired and comes with all the necessary attachments for modern installation. This is a superb pair of antique cast bronze double-arm sconces with verdigris and purple prisms, dating from the early 1900’s. The sconces feature an elegant verdigris bronze backplate with bronze stems supporting glass florets and smooth teardrop prisms, some of which have turned lavender from sun exposure. Vine-like sconce arms are hung with prisms and support bronze wax pans and candle cups, and graceful strands of beads drape from the top of each sconce to the bobeches. These wall lamps are in excellent condition; they have been professionally rewired. The sconces are 11” tall, 9 ¼” wide, and project 4” from the wall. This is a charming antique Tudor hanging lantern, dating from the 1920’s, with its original glass cylinder. The lantern begins with a simple loop finial atop a sloped roof with a crimped border; below, black bands cross a clear glass cylinder. The bottom of the lantern features a crimped lower edge, with clear glass in the bottom of the lantern to allow light to shine downward. The chandelier is in excellent condition, and the glass is also in excellent condition with no cracks or breaks. A smooth, J-shaped arm extends from the center of the backplate, accented with a baluster finial at the top and a sleek bobeche at the lower end. These wall lamps are in excellent condition. They have been professionally rewired and come with all the necessary attachments for modern installation. Three of the sconces have turn switches; one does not. We kept the original nonfunctioning turn switches for nostalgia’s sake; however, we will gladly replace them with new ones if desired. This big fella weights twelve pounds and stands an impressive twenty three and a half inches tall. Quite old, probably late 1800's, in excellent condition, no chips, no cracks.
