The pattern contains the American Eagle and Shield emblem. "E PLURIBUS UNUM". Green underglaze backstamp "Mottahedeh Vista Alegre Portugal 1776-1976". Mildred Mottahedeh and her husband Raffie were collectors of 18th and 19th century chinese export porcelain and traveled the world in their quest of important pieces. They opened a factory in Portugal and reproduced many important pieces that were sold in museums around the world.
