For Sale is a bronze Desk Set Item made by Tiffany Studios, New York. This is called a Note Pad Holder and it is done in Tiffany's Studios most sought after Dore' Patina. This Note Pad is part of the highly collected bronze "Zodiac" Desk Set items. The Note Pad measures 4 5/8" wide by 7 1/2" deep. It stands only 5/8" tall and that is to the top of the hinge on the front side. The Note Pad displays a wonderful Gold Acid Etched small flake patina. This is called Dore' Patina which means "Gold" in French. There are a total of Eight Zodiac signs on the top of the Bronze Note Pad. The top cover opens and closes with ease as the hinge is working properly. The Patina shows a very nice lightly aged gold patina with minor wear. When these were made they were an even brighter gold and the Acid etched Flakes showed even more brilliantly like the inside of the Note Pad. The Note Pad is considered to be in excellent condition as there are no dents, or dings to any of the corners. This piece shows minor wear. There is some dark patina staining on the underside. This cannot be seen when displayed and has minimal effect on value. The Note Pad has all of its original Screws as well. The piece is signed on the backside Frame plate with "Tiffany Stvdios New York" Impressed Mark along with the Pattern Number 1187 for the Calendar Frame Number. The spelling of Studio with the letter "V" denotes this as an earlier piece. Tiffany started using a 3 digit number for his Fancy Desk Set goods after 1902 subsequently this piece was made early circa 1902-1905. This is a quality item in the Tiffany Zodiac Desk Set Items. The Pen Tray has the very desirable "Acid Etched with large Snowflakes" finish with a Craftsman Brown Patina. This is a real Collectors Choice in the Arts & Crafts Style decor. This is one of the most sought after and most Popular Patinas in the Tiffany Desk Set Patterns. The Pen Tray displays a pair of fish looking at each other on 1 end and a Scorpion on the other. It stands only 1 3/8" tall and that is to the top decorative side of the hinge. The Paper Clip displays a wonderful version of Tiffany Studios Green/ Brown patina. The top decorative side of the Paper Clip shows a Lion for the Astrological Sign of Leo. The Paper Clip Hinge opens and closes with ease and is working properly. The Patina shows a very nice lightly aged patina with minor wear on the underside bottom edges. For Sale is a very nice Desk Item made by Tiffany Studios, New York. The Item is called a "Rocker Blotter" and it is done in the "Grapevine" Desk Set Pattern. The Blotter is Tiffany's most desirable with Green Opalescent Favrile Glass and Verdi Green/Brown Patina and a Beaded Border. The Rocker Blotter Stands 1 7/8" tall and is 5 3/4" wide and is 2 15/16" deep. The Rocker Blotter Displays a wonderful Acid Etched Pattern of Grape Leaves and Grapes over a Green White Opalescent Favrile Art Glass. It is further embellished with a beaded border. The Knob on the Top Middle also has this acid etched Grapevine Pattern and Green White Opal Favrile Glass underneath it. The Verdi Green Brown Patina is just outstanding. The bottom of the Rocker Blotter is Solid Oak and it stills retains its original Blotter Paper attached. The Rocker Blotter is considered to be in excellent condition as there are no cracks, nicks, chip or dings to any of the Glass. There are a few dings to the metal but nothing too obtrusive. It appears that this piece saw Minimal use as there is usually Damage to the Oak Blotter, or the Glass is Broken, or there is major dents in the metal. This is NOT the case here. I can find very little to complain about with this piece. The Rocker Blotter is signed on the side with the "Tiffany Studios New York" along with No pattern number. This was known as pattern number "995" in the Tiffany Grapevine Catalog of Desk Set Items. Those of you who collect the Grapevine Desk Set Pattern and want a Museum Quality Rocker Blotter in their collection, look no further. They just don't get any better than this one. It is in excellent condition, has Green Glass, Glass in the Knob, Beaded Border and a Killer Verdi Green Brown Patina. This is the best of the best in Tiffany's Grapevine Rocker Blotters for condition and Patina. Tiffany started numbering his desk set pieces usually with a 3 digit number after 1902. Since this piece does not have the pattern number and there is glass in the knob this is considered very early. The later ones had all bronze knobs with the etched Grapevine Pattern on top of the metal knob. This Rocker Blotter was made circa 1898-1902.   « Less

For Sale is a very Rare desk set item made by Tiffany Studios of New York. The Item is a "Magnifying Glass" and it is done in the "Pine Needle" desk set pattern. The patina on the metal is the most desirable Green/Brown. The stained glass is the green/white opalescent Favrile glass. The Magnifying Glass 1/2" tall, 8" long and has a diameter of 3 5/8" outside measurement. This Magnifying Glass displays an Acid Etched Pine Needle Overlay Pattern on Green/White Opalescent Glass in the Handle. The Glass inside of the handles is slightly slumped or curved. This is one the most desirable and Rarest of the Tiffany Pine Needle Desk set pieces to find. The Patina is extremely nice! The Magnifying Glass is considered to be in excellent condition as there are no cracks, or chips to any of the Glass. The only issue I can see is some marks on the exterior clear glass on the high points. It appears that something came in contact with the glass on more than one occasion. I'm sure this could be polished out. It can only be seen when held at an angle to the light. The metal face surrounding the Glass is in great shape. There are a few indents one the overlay handle, one on each side. This is all considered minor and does not take away value from the piece. The Magnifying Glass is signed on the bottom underside ring next to where the handle is attached. It is signed with the "Tiffany Studios" impressed mark along one side and the pattern number "903" on the other side. This impressed mark is extremely small and considered and earlier mark. This is a an extremely nice Magnifying Glass in excellent condition. When these are found there is usually some kind of damage to the glass or the Lens Holder that holds the Glass. I am very happy to report that this one has No Cracked Glass!! I believe the Pine Needle Pattern to have been one the first of the Fancy Goods Product lines made at Tiffany Studios. Those of you who are looking for an excellent example of the Magnifying Glass in the Pine Needle Pattern will be delighted with their purchase. Tiffany Studios assigned a number to their desk set pieces after 1902. Up until then they were only Signed "Tiffany Studios" or "Tiffany Studios New York". Since this one has a number and based on the font size the Magnifying Glass was made, circa 1902-1905.   « Less

The Calendar holder stands 3 7/8" tall. The backside measure 4 7/8"and the front side measures 4" wide. The two sides measure 5 5/8" deep. The Calendar has an outstanding Verdi Green/ Brown Patina. When you open the top lid you can see the nicest Tiffany Patina in the Green Brown that I'm quite sure you haven't seen for awhile. This is the most Popular Patina in the Zodiac Desk Set Pattern. This Desk Calendar Holder displays 9 of the 12 different zodiac signs. It is heavy and quite solid for its size. It has an Arts and Crafts flare. This particular calendar was made either as a Desk or Wall model. The 2 underside eyes were designed to be hung from hooks mounted in a wall. This model is considered Rare and hard to find. This Calendar Holder is considered to be in excellent condition as there are no major dents, or dings. It shows very minors signs of wear from use. I see a little bit of black ink stain along the middle left edge on top and side pieces. The Calendar Holder is signed on the bottom with "Tiffany Stvdios New York" Impressed mark along with the Pattern Number 1093 for the Calendar Holder in this desk set. The type set is very small and the spelling of "Stvdios" with a small letter "v" denotes this as an early mark. Tiffany started using a 3 digit number for his Fancy Desk Set goods after 1902 subsequently this was made early circa 1902-1905. This is a quality item in the Tiffany Desk Set Items.
