Here is a California compliant UL lighting fixture originally from the mid 50’s/60’s, but now rehabbed to be current to UL and CA use standards. These fascinating fixtures were often under-lit with either one incandescent light bulb, or a series of small chandelier bulbs. We have changed those incandescent fittings to one GU-10 fitting, as required for energy savings in California, and now becoming a standard for rehab and new construction. This fixture now proudly presents a 27 watt LED SMD bulb giving about twice the light as the original did, but for nearly ¾ less electricity. Now that’s energy savings!! A UL label is affixed to each fixture. The light itself is a very fine craftsman case. While most lights on the market now use straight FLAT beveled panels, earlier lights (like this one) received a quality glass working by making curved beveled panels. This light has curved panels at both the top and at the bottom of the fixture. Very substantial quality treatment. This surely makes a very nice hallway or vestibule light for sure. You do receive the 27 watt LED bulb that is shown in the fixture. Replacements (when it finally burns out in thousands of hours) can be purchased from us. Very nice two light, slip shade, Art Deco pendant by Mid West Mnf. The decorative elements of this two light pendant are really quite nice. There's a crackle surface finish in old gold, surrounded by elements of nickel plating, complete with a tapered deco center motif. Mid-West really did know how to design iconic fixtures, and this one has a taste of step-deco with the restrained features of Streamline design. Circa 1934 - 1937, it does appear in their literature as the Empire design. The family consisted of a 6 shade chandelier (with a couple of different stem configurations); a three light chandelier; this two light pendant; and then wall sconces. We have just received a pair of wall sconces which will be restored and available later. We have rewired the pendant to UL standards with new sockets in our UL shop. So, it's ready to hang with a standard light mounting kit which we will supply. Riddle was known for their exact and beautiful castings. The detail on this fixture is really quite exquisite. Nice contrasting too, with a high-low finish. Electrical: This pendant has been totally re-wired in our UL shop. We even used Rayon covered wire for authenticity. Normal candelabrum sockets, for everyday candelabrum base bulbs, have been installed. We are showing this pendant with small 1.6 watt LED bulbs, but much more light can be achieved with the substitution of higher wattage bulbs. All mounting hardware will be supplied. ANT-547 Remarkable and Lovely Angelic Cupid Double Pendant This pendant has been rewired in our UL shop, and it is simply lovely. These angel/cupid pendant chandeliers come up every once in a while...some with glass shades...some with crystal drops, but rarely...with a Rococo frame containing an internal amber glass cylinder. In fact, it is the first one we have had like this. Makes powering this pendant up a pleasure, not having to look at a bare light bulb behind a few crystals. Rather a special case with a great result. This is a special fixture for more than one reason. We have never ceased to be amazed by the rendition of faces of cupids and angels when cast for lighting. Some look stern...some insipid, and others just plain unrealistic. We were pleased to look upon the face of this fixture. A really talented sculptor did this one with a resulting pleasant countenance. Measurements: * Width: 11 ½" * Height: 17" at present, but can be made longer by adding chain. Monumental Pair of Solid Cast BRONZE Gothic Ceiling or Entry Lights Simply magnificent in their style, size, and workmanship. They are stunning to behold. Circa 1910. We were fortunate that someone was thoughtful enough to have put these treasures into storage. Being CAST bronze, with acrylic window replacements, they are not lightweights. Better figure about 250 pounds of holding power for installation. We used our 150kg chandelier lift for the pictures, and we would surely recommend one for a permanent installation. A strong crossbar will be supplied for mounting. Having been in storage for years and years, these fantastic lights were an undertaking in restoration and re-wiring. They have been completely re-wired in our UL shop with a new idea in lighting. The clusters of old fashioned, inefficient 1900s sockets were removed, and a carousel of SIX LED tubes was installed for an even 360° representation of lighting. One tube lights each window evenly, instead of visible hot spots that occur with regular light bulbs. Each LED tube is 4 feet long. We have shown 3 views of this LED carousel in one picture. Each 4-foot tube consumes only 23 watts of power, and has an output of 2100 lumens of light. Side note: Also complies with California Title 24 energy saving requirements. These LED tubes can be accessed from the bottom acrylic panel, which is in two parts for separation and access. The LED tubes are powered from only one end, as is the new UL requirements for LED tubes...and that power is taken off the top of the carousel, as shown in one of the photographs. A picture of the bottom is also shown, both with and without the acrylic inset so the carousel can be seen, and also how it will be hidden during use. Yes, the LED tubes are supplied with the light, so a turn-key solution is in hand. Measurements: The overall height (as shown) is 106" (8' 10"). However...it could be lengthened by us supplying more tube (might be required in a commercial application)...OR...it could be reduced by shortening the hex tube to result in an overall height of as little as 72" (6 ft), since the lantern part by itself measures 67" tall, and we need about an additional 5" for the canopy and wiring access. The maximum lantern width is 27". The canopy measures 15" at the maximum width, and has a 4 ½" height. The canopy looks smaller in the photographs...but compared to the lantern...it just looks smaller. Price for the PAIR: $9,350.00 plus careful packing and shipping. If someone went out to have these made, you would probably would pay at least triple this price...and here...these are even antiques. The glass flowers...not crystal jewels...are attractive in each panel of this light. There is a tiny...and we mean tiny...hint of pink to the flowers...but so very little, we even considered not mentioning it. But it's there, so we need to state it. The glass flowers are just a tiny bit tinted...but so very little. When lit up..they simply look nicely frosted. Simply quality and simplicity, this light is brass/bronze construction with a single center light. Each light does have some MINOR condition issues commensurate with their age...but nothing that should bother the antique-affectional individual. What is not so apparent in the pictures is the BEVELED glass panels on all four sides. Simply quality looking. We debated whether to glass-bead blast the four beveled glass panels to give them a frosted look...but decided, perhaps, the customer should think about this, so we do offer it as an option.
