You are viewing a gorgeous pair of French female figurines in the form of torcheres or lights - they really remind me of the great Statue of Liberty, the gift from France to the United States. They are a perfect left and right and each maiden holds aloft the light. The casting on this pair is amazing as I hope the photos illustrate, the patina has a lovely dark brown finish. The piece is signed L Gregoire on the base near the foot (please see close up picture). Jean Louis Gregoire was a famous French sculptor who lived 1840-1890 and these have to be one of his famous works. Each figure holds aloft the frosted crystal glass flames from which the light emits. They come pre-wired so it would be easy to hook these up to a light source. The features of the figures has been expertely sculpted and these would make for a fine addition to any interiors scheme. Check out details like the sea serpent on the base of one of them, plus their fine features and intricately textured hair. They are both offered in perfect condition ready for home use right away. Beautiful antique Art Nouveau bronze nude fairy lamp with signed art glass shade. This is a period art nouveau sculpture in excellent condition depicting a nude fairy standing on leaves and resting her hands on leaves. She has beautifully detailed wings and a beautiful face and body. It measures 22-1/2 inches high from the bottom of the specimen marble base to the top of the lamp. The fairy measures 14 inches from the bottom of the marble base to the top of her head. Wingspan 1-1/2 inches. Diameter of base 4-1/2 inches. From leaf to leaf the widest width measures 7 inches. Weight 7 lbs. She has recently been professionally rewired so you can just plug in and enjoy. No need to worry about your house burning down it is safe to use since it has been professionally rewired. The art glass shade is in excellent condition with a lovely pulled feather design. Extremely rare and quite possibly unique antique signed Bergman Vienna bronze erotica mechanical musical lamp. What's really special about this lamp is when you press the button the first time it opens the lamp and then when you press the button again it becomes a music box playing When You Are in Love. When you press the button a third time it plays another love song. We have seen examples of this lamp sell in the past but know of no others that play 2 different songs when you push the button. When you push the button the first time the doors spring open revealing a couple in 18th century dress in an interior scene. The man is kneeling on a Persian carpet next to his beautiful girlfriend. She is lying on a daybed or chaise lounge with her dress pulled down just below her breasts. The title of this rare bronze is The Proposition. You can use your imagination to determine why he is on his knees talking to her. The subjects are extremely well sculptured and have their original polychrome cold painted patina, no repainting or any condition issues. This is unquestionably the finest example of this model extant. When the door springs open it also lights up the couple inside. When the tent is closed t shows a sweet cherub holding one end of the tent ready for the viewer to inspect and be delighted with the contents. This is a unique example playing two love songs. The cold paint patina is the best we have seen on any example of this rare antique Vienna bronze lamp. It is guaranteed to please the most particular collector or connoisseur. Exquisite antique bronze nude lady lamp. She is holding a shawl in both hands above her head which forms the lamp. One portion of the lamp modestly covers the area between her legs. The base is inscribed J. Cambos (Jean-Jules Cambos French 1828-1885). This is an exquisite lamp depicting a beautiful nude lady holding a stylized shawl with a lamp socket inside the shawl. When you turn on the lamp it beautifully lights the nude lady and the area around her. It measures 27-1/2 inches high, widest width 11-1/2 inches. The weight is 26 lbs. Diameter at base 7-1/4 inches. The bronze without its original rouge deluxe marble base measures 25-1/2 inches high. This is a wonderful lamp guaranteed to please the most particular collector or connoisseur. It is in superb condition with a beautiful chocolate brown patina mounted on a deluxe original to the lamp rouge marble base. Cambos has auction records as high as $46,000.00 for a 32 inch sculpture. This artist was highly skilled and specialized in sculpting beautiful nude ladies. His works are rare and very much sought after by collectors world wide.
