An amazing piece of High Victorian art. A winged cherub or putti or cupid is riding a cart made from a snail shell with functional wheels and pulled by a goat. The back section opens up and a area for storing salt is visible. A sterling salt spoon that came with this piece also with a cupid is available for the buyer of this piece if desired. Hallmarked on base indistinctly appears to be a Austrian or French hallmark. Little over 4'' long and almost 3'' high a great piece for even the most advanced collection in the world. Circa 1880. Very rare and unusual Annie Oakley Souvenir picture and frame. Amazing with the carved and painted guns in the upper left and lower right corners. Sort of a folk art piece that may well be one of a kind. Print is signed A. M. Pollock. There is several bits of interesting provenance on the back. One says Given to me by mom 1940. To mom by mom in 1906. Then given to me by Clayton on fathers day 1964. Several other inscriptions scratched in that are too hard to read. Frame measures 14'' by 7'' and has a few losses and splits. The goat leg with hooves on the base is really indicative of the French Empire period. These are Circa 1850 and a pretty as a picture. Photos are somewhat darker than in person.
