Lalique of the period some of Etling or Sabino work. 9.75'' tall and 7'' wide with very thick and heavy walls. Circa 1930. Most of the glass producers in France traded designers back and forth; Pierre D'Avesn designed Rene Lalique's famous Serpent vase as well as the Tourbillons vase, two of the most highly priced and extremely collectable pieces of ''Lalique''. Besides opening his own line in France, he also created many of Verlys's most famous works, like the highly sought-after Mermaid vase. So in many ways, the biggest difference between those pieces of Verlys and Lalique is the name on the bottom. A large and heavy Degue vase in orange with black leaves. his is one impressive vase at 10 inches high by its makers, the Saint-Hilaire, Touvier, de Varreaux and Company of Pantin, France or officially the Cristallerie de Pantin. Signed in cameo ''Degue'', after one of their master glassmakers, David Gueron, this vase features cameo black leaves with a orange mottled ground. It is in excellent condition and dates from around 1920-25. Minor area near signature that may be a chip or maybe frm the making. see pic nothing that detracts for the beauty of the heavy piece. This is a fabulous Arts & Crafts era art glass vase. It is aurene with pink overtones. The vase has a bulbous heavy bottom that is quilted. The neck and shoulders are girdled with a tarnished copper band with handles. Bubbles of glass protrude from the girdle. The mouth flairs outward. This is a rare and highly beautiful one of a kind piece of art. The condition is vintage excellent with the exception of wear to the girdle. Leather straps have been lost that were attached to the girdle, they are easily replaced.
