For sale is an adorable piece of art pottery made by the Weller Pottery Company of Zanesville, Ohio. The pattern is the very desirable "Muskota" and it is a flower frog. The piece measures approximately 1 15/16" tall and is 5 3/4" in length. It measures 3 5/16" deep. A favorite among the Muskota collectors, the piece depicts a lobster resting in a bed of seaweed. The detail on this lobster makes him look like a delicious meal! The lobster has crisp details to show the details in his shell and legs. His eyes and face have careful detailing to complete this naturalistic flower frog. The lobster is glazed in a soft orange with some darker browns to bring out the seperation of each part of his shell. The seaweed he is resting on is glazed in a blended soft moss green to olive green. There are eight flower frog holes. The flower frog is considered to be in Excellent condition as there are no cracks, chips, nicks or dings. The piece is signed with the block letter Weller logo. This flower frog was made Circa 1915-1926.   « Less
