Late 19TH Century Chinese Export Mandarin Water Pitcher with handle converted into a Lamp. 11" in Height from Rosewood base to mouth or top of handle of this fine water pitcher. Electrified. Wonderful colors with blue and gold background and mandarin ladies in a scene of young child flying a kite. On the opposite side, panel is a lady on a bench and a chinese person with a bird in his hand. Also nice highlights in blue and gold. Good Condition. No chips, cracks or restoration.   « Less

Circa 1880 Chinese Export Blue and White Storage Jar/Vase converted into a nice lamp with a rosewood base and top cover. 8" from base to top cover. The lamp is 18" in height to the top of the shade. Wired with a gold cord and brass hardware and topped off with a white shade and a finial. This particular lamp has a double swan finial. The finials are imported from China and they are new. The finials are solid brass and are available in roosters, parrots, monkeys, sea horses, pineapples, butterflies, lighthouses and several other neat shapes and forms.   « Less

Circa 1880 Chinese Export Blue and White Ginger jar measuring 8" in height. This ginger jars has the original cover. We have also mounted it on a rosewood base and have had it electrified and have also included the harp, shade and a finial to be converted into a table lamp. Total height to top of shade is 24" and 26" to the top of the finial. We will be adding a line of solid brass finials to our web site shortly. This ginger jar is not the true canton or nanking design and was made for the oriental taste and not that of the western world. It is known as Double Happiness. There are many out in the market place that are new but we guarantee ours to be 100 years old. They fit in with all the types of blue and white that is very popular and make a very useful and decorative lamp. We have two of these Double Happiness lamps in our inventory at this time which can be purchased separately or would make a nice pair at 2X the individual price. Circa 1900 French St. Cloud Style Cobalt Blue Vase mounted on a ormulu base and wired as a lamp including harp and properly fitted shade. This vase has the St. Cloud mark on the bottom of the base but we feel it dates from 1880-1900 and not of the earlier 19th century work that was done by the St. Cloud Factory in France. Still it is a beautiful vase with beautiful matching decoration of a flamingo and butterfly with the ormulu base that we have attached. Height of this vase with that base measures 13 1/2" and 25 1/2" to the top of the shade. The diameter of the ormulu base's feet is 7" and the widest point of the vase itself measures 5 1/2".   « Less
