Vellum glaze vase with stylized rose hip, leaf and vine decoration encircling the upper half of the vase. Colors range from light blue under the decoration to pale yellow-beige below with the inside a steel blue. Great contrast and style as is known in the work of Fred Rothenbusch. Marks include the Rookwood logo, date, shape number 356, and Fred Rothenbusch's Cipher. Height 6 5/8 inches. Very clean example and completely uncrazed.   « Less

This Royal Devon S.F. & Co. two handle vase with flow blue is beautifully hand painted with a floral arrangement and accents on the front and a smaller arrangement of the reverse. The vase measures 13" high and 7" from handle to handle. There is a professionally repaired rim chip - excellent work. Signed with the old 1800's S.F. & Co. - England mark and artist initialed. Circa 1840 Chinese Export rose Canton Vases measuring 4 1/4" in height. Beautiful Unusual Pair of famille rose vases fresh out of a Philadelphia Estate filled with rose medallion. We will be putting these items on our web site for the next 10 days and offering for sale. These vases are absolutely beautiful and very good quality. They are a Exact Identical Pair measuring 4 1/4" in height. The decoration on both are exactly identical. 0ne panel on each has a bird and a beetle with the opposite side having a butterfly and a bird with a beautiful pink rose. In between these two panels is greenery with gold underneath. No damage or restoration. To top it off the previous owner has put two stoppers in the top opening with the beautiful colors of pink, green and turquoise with the tops a gilded Gold. Circa 1800-1820 Chinese Export Rose Mandarin FABULOUS 25" Vase. Fresh out of a Fabulous Estate in Washington, D.C. Absolutely a 10 in my rating system. One of the best vases I have come up with. Too bad it is not a Pair. The pictures will tell the story. The turquoise ribbon in the middle with a band going all the way around is very unusual. Double gilded foo dogs on each side of the ribbon. The central mandarin scene with 13 people and two horses. This vase has it all. Butterflies Galore. Roosters, chickens, fox, rabbits and a Fabulous Peacock.   « Less
