Two vintage cobalt blue gold decoration hand painted Limoges porcelain pieces. One is a covered urn measuring 6-1/2 inches high, and 3-1/4 inches wide. The other is a pitcher measuring 5-3/4 inches high and 4 inches wide at its widest point. Both pieces are trimmed in gold with hand painted flowers in the center. Large and very beautiful hand painted and signed Capodimonte floral decorated gold highlighted porcelain handled covered urn. Big beautiful decorative urns like this were very often filled with potpourri. The top of the urn is reticulated to release the sweet fragrance of dried flowers that were usually placed in decorative urns like these. It has a very rococo look to it with ornate gilt trimmed porcelain handles. The front and back have lovely hand painted flowers. The urn sits on four stylized column heads. The urn is in excellent condition taking into consideration its age. There are no imperfections damages or repairs. This is a beautiful large decorative urn guaranteed to please its new owner. The top of the urn has a golden finial. Beneath the finial is an open latis work design further allowing the sweet fragrance of the potpourri to be shared. The urn measures 19-1/2 inches to the top of the finial. Widest width from handle to handle 11 inches. Diameter of opening at the top 4-3/4 inches. The base measures 5-1/4 by 5-1/4 inches wide.
