Victorian, circa 1860 Pair Staffordshire figures of the Queen Victoria with Princess Royal, and Prince Albert with the Prince of Wales. The adults are seated on ermine edged thrones, with one foot resting on a cushion. The Royal children stand to the side. Albert''s legs and arms of all figures are molded free. Dull gilt base line and decoration to clothing. Vent hole to underside. Similar piece illustrated figures 547/548, page 180, Schiffer''s ''Victorian Staffordshire Figures 1835-1875'' Book 1, by A.& N. Harding. Generally good. Slight rubbing to gilt. Victoria: No restoration. Tiny abrasion to both noses. Slight rubbing to reverse of throne. Kiln effects: fine shrinkage line to Victoria''s neck; firing crack to side; kiln soot caught in the glaze. Albert: Slight rubbing to reverse of throne and head. Kiln effects: small touch mark to reverse of head; firing hole to side of base; kiln soot caught in the glaze; heavy crazing. Restoration of Albert''s right hand and the Prince''s arms. Albert: 8ins high, Victoria: 7ins high   « Less

Victorian, circa 1870 Copeland Majolica jardiniere decorated with ochre bordered panels depicting butterflies, flowers and insects on brown ground. Cobalt ribbed ground to body of jardiniere. Pale green leaf style border on brown ground around the rim and base. Turquoise interior. Cream underside with impressed maker''s mark ''COPELAND'' and a painted mark. Good. No restoration. No cracks. No hairlines. Shallow chip to underside. Flakes to brown ground on the base. Some wear and liming to interior and slight wear to raised moldings on the exterior. 9.75ins high, 12ins diameter   « Less

Victorian, circa 1860 Pair Staffordshire spill vases in the form of a boy and girl sat on a mound, each feeding a zebra which is carrying baskets of fruit on its back. Two legs of each zebra are molded free. Shredded clay decoration to the ground, baskets and spill. Dull gilt base line and decoration. Similar pair illustrated figure 2411/2412, page 172, Schiffer''s ''Victorian Staffordshire Figures 1835-1875'' Book 2, by A.& N. Harding. Good. Some rubbing to gilt. Boy: Kiln effects: overglazed bruise to base edge at reverse; shrinkage line to tree branch; two shrinkage cracks inside the spill; craze line to upper base edge. Restored flake to hat brim. Retouching to eyes and left shoe. Girl: Tiny paint loss to zebra''s front left leg and tail. Kiln effect: firing pit to underside. Restored chip to reverse of spill rim. Victorian, circa 1870 George Jones Majolica figure group of three putti, each draped in a lilac shawl and standing on a trefoil shaped, acanthus molded base. Two of the putti are wearing garlands on their heads, and one is holding a bundle of wheat. Turquoise plinth base with mottled green, brown and ochre glazes around the lower edge and to the underside. Three stilt marks inside the base. Originally, this was probably the base of a compote. Good. No chips. No flakes. Kiln effect: over glazed shrinkage lines to four ankles. Repair to neck of all three. Repaired cracks to face of one putto, running down over chest. Retouched flaking to heads where the compote top probably used to sit. 8.5ins high   « Less

Victorian, circa 1860 Pair Staffordshire figures of a girl and boy both standing on a cushion in front of a large russet and white Irish setter. Front leg of each dog is molded free. Good creamy glaze with blue tinge. Vent hole to reverses. Painted mark to underneath of both Girl: Good. No restoration. No hairlines. No chips. Minor paint losses to enamels. One flake to her nose. Gilt rubbed. Kiln effects: shrinkage crack around the front of foot rim, another above the dog''s tail, and a couple to the top of his free molded leg, very minor kiln soot caught in the glaze to reverse. Boy: Good. No hairlines. No chips. Gilt rubbed. Kiln effects: over glazed shrinkage crack to foot rim. Shrinkage crack to mold line next to the dog''s tail, and another in between the dog''s front paws. Touch mark to the boy''s chest. Repaired crack to the front, along the base.
