For Sale I have a hard to find piece of carnival glass made by The Fenton Glass Company of Williamstown, West Virginia. The shape is a Banana Boat and the pattern is known as "Thistle". The piece measures 4 1/4" tall ,10 3/8" long and is 7 5/8" deep. The Thistle pattern actually has two different molds, one for Bowls and Plates and this one made exclusively for the Banana Boat. The Bowl depicts four clusters of flowers and thistle foliage with one leaf growing together in the center of the bowl. This Bowl has the Cattails and Waterlily pattern on the exterior which is also very ornate. The Bowl has 4 Ball feet to complete the look and is truly a show stopper. What a delight to have two very attractive patterns on one piece. The irridescence on this piece is spectacular as you can see hues of Deep Fuchsia, Blue, Gold, and Green on the Interior. There is also Iridescence on the Exterior with hues of Gold and Fuchsia. The Banana Boat is considered to be in Excellent Condition as there are no cracks, chips, nicks or dings. I also do not see any iridescence loss as it seems this piece was never used. The piece is unsigned but guaranteed to be Vintage Fenton. The Bowl was made Circa 1911. « Less

For Sale I have a Carnival Glass bowl made by Fenton Glass Company of Williamstown, West Virginia. The Pattern is "Vintage" and it is the ever popular Ruffled Edge Bowl. The base color of the Glass is Green. The Ruffled Bowl measures 2 1/16" tall and is 7 1/16" in diameter. The Bowl displays a great iridescence on both sides. The Bowl depicts a pattern of Grape Clusters hanging from trailing Vines and Leaves. The detail in the Leaves is just outstanding as you can see veining and the grapes are plump and ready for picking. The back of the bowl is is a wide panel back. The color is excellent as you can see Brilliant Gold Iridescence with Strong hues of Fuchsia and Blue/Purple. The back shows these color tones as well. For sale I have a piece of Carnival Glass made by The Imperial Glass Company of Bellaire, Ohio. The item is a Bottle or Decanter with its Stopper and the pattern in known More »
For sale I have a piece of Carnival Glass made by The Imperial Glass Company of Bellaire, Ohio. The item is a Bottle or Decanter with its Stopper and the pattern in known as"Imperial Grape". The Decanter measures approximately 11 1/2" tall to the top of the stopper and is 5 1/2" in diameter.
The Decanter displays Plump Grape Clusters in Heavy Relief set on a background of Grape Leaves with veining and the base color is Marigold. The Stopper has Vertical ribbing and a Beaded horizontal ring around the center of it to complete the look. The Decanter is part of a Water or Wine Set and the pattern resembles Northwood's Grape and Cable. Those of you with the tumblers from Northwood could easily use this Decanter to complete their set of these Delightful beauties. There is a wonderful iridescence to both pieces and you can see hues of blues, fuschias, green and yellow.
The Bottle is considered to be in Excellent Condition as there are no chips, cracks, nicks or dings. There are a few rough spots on the neck of the bottle where the horizontal bead ring is but it is factory air bubbles as I inspected it with a magnifying glass. The stopper appears that it might have some chips along the flange that sits down into the bottle. I found this with a cork like material applied to where the stopper inserts into the neck of the bottle. This was cleverly done by the previous owner and does not detract from this piece or functionability. It actually protects the Glass from any further damage. It appears that you can remove this but I will leave that up to the new owner.
This is a Very Nice Decanter with Great Iridescence. Normally you find these without the Stopper and they work great as a Flower Vase. It is always a Treat to find these with their stoppers. The Decanter was made Circa 1915-1920 and guaranteed to be vintage. « Less

For Sale I have a very nice piece of Carnival Glass made by The Northwood Glass Company of Wheeling, West Virginia. The Shape or item is known as a "Hatpin Holder" and it is done in the very popular "Grape and Cable" design. The Hatpin Holder stands 6 5/8" tall and is 2 3/4" in diameter at the feet. The top of the Hatpin Holder is 2 1/2". The Hatpin Holder is made from a very beautiful Amethyst or Purple base glass. The Iridescence is just outstanding! You can see deep rich Purple/Blue iridescence along with Fuchsia and Gold. The Hatpin Holder displays and a very lovely Pattern of Raised Grapes and Leaves that hang from Vine that surrounds the piece. The Bunches of Grapes are large and plentiful. There are Leaves that separate these Vertical Clusters giving this piece some balance. The Veining in the Leaves is just outstanding. You can also see the fine Stippling in the Leaves and this adds more Value to the piece. Just above these Vertical Leaves is a Band that surrounds the lower neck. These are grooves in the Band to simulate a Cable, thus the name "Grape and Cable. The Vase is supported by 3 nicely applied Ribbed Spatula Feet. The Hatpin Holder is considered to be in excellent condition as there are no cracks, nicks, chips or dings. There is one spot on one of the feet that is pictured that has a flaw. This was caused when the Hatpin Holder was removed from the mold. This is not damage and considered Factory. This is a very nice Hatpin Holder with Strong Detail and Iridescence. These were once Plentiful during the Victorian Era but a 100 years later they are seldom seen in this condition. The piece is unsigned but Northwood is the only Company that made the Grape and Cable Hatpin Holders during this era. These were originally part of a Dresser Set for Ladies. I'm sure the lucky winner will be very pleased with their purchase. This piece was made Circa 1910-1920. « Less

For Sale I have a Beautiful piece of Carnival Glass made by The Northwood Glass Company of Wheeling, West Virginia. The Shape is a Bowl and the pattern is the ever popular "Grape and Cable". The Bowl measures 2 1/8" tall and is 8 1/2" in diameter. The Bowl depicts Grape Clusters and very detailed Leaves hanging from their Vine supported by a thick Cable. The Base color of this beauty is Green and the iridescence is Outstanding. You can see vivid colors of Gold, Blue, Green and Fuchsia. The backside of the Bowl has a Basket Weave pattern and this also has very strong iridescence. The foot is what is known as a Collar Base Foot. This is an Exceptionally Crisp mold on both the front and backside of this Bowl and is considered an Excellent example. The Bowl is considered to be in Excellent Condition as there are no Cracks, or chips. There is absolutely no Iridescence loss on this piece and I believe it was rarely used. There is a very small nick on the Base that looks like it happened when it was pulled from the mold as it is on a mold seam. This is not visible when displayed and I barely caught it upon examination with a bright light. The Bowl is signed with Northwood's Underlined "N" in a Circle on the underside center bottom. This Bowl was made Circa 1910. « Less

For sale I have a wonderful Art Glass piece made by Loetz of Bohemia which is now the modern day "Czech Republic". I have a Rare and very hard to find Nut or Ruffled Finger More »
For sale I have a wonderful Art Glass piece made by Loetz of Bohemia which is now the modern day "Czech Republic". I have a Rare and very hard to find Nut or Ruffled Finger Bowl. The Bowl stands 1 1/4" tall and is 4 3/4" in diameter at its widest point.
The Bowl displays a very nice Pea Green base glass. It is has an 8 Ruffled Border that is very similar to LCT Tiffany Favrile's Bowls. It displays very nice detailed Swirl Ribs that start at the Pontil underneath and rise up to the top edge of the Bowl. There are approximately 24 of these Swirling Ribs throughout the piece. The inside of the Bowl has brilliant iridescence. You can see beautiful hues of Platinum Blues, Purples and Fuchsia. The back side of the bowl does not have any iridescence at all.
The Nut or Finger Bowl is considered to be in excellent condition as there are no cracks, nicks, chips or dings. I see no signs of iridescence loss either. The piece is unsigned but it does have a counter sunk polished pontil, the Sign of Quality Art Glass. When I first came across this piece I thought it was Steuben's Jade Green but I knew of no Jade Green that was iridized. I conferred with my New York Art Glass friends and they all agree it is definitely Loetz as this was my second choice.
This is a quality piece of Art Glass that is considered Rare and not commonly found. I firmly believe Loetz created this item to compete against the Tiffany Favrile Table Sets. There have been very few of these examples surfacing in the last 10 years and suspect there was a very limited production. I sure the lucky buyer will be delighted with their purchase. This piece was made, Circa 1895-1925. « Less

For Sale I have is a very nice Art Glass Sherbet and Under Plate made by The Steuben Glass Company of Corning, NY. The Pattern is called "Calcite" which is an Opal White with Gold Iridescence. The plate measures 5 7/8" in diameter and is 1" tall. The Sherbet stands 3 3/4" tall and the Sherbet opening is also 3 3/4" in diameter outside measurements. The Sherbet and Under Plate stands 4" tall when placed together. The Sherbet interior and under plate interior displays very strong gold Aurene, Favrile Iridescent. The Aurene is just Brilliant!! You can see strong hues of Fuchsia, and Gold with some hints of Blue. The Gold luster rivals any piece of art glass from LC Tiffany Favrile, Quezal, Durand and Loetz. The Sherbet and under plate's outside Calcite Finish displays a soft and subtle touch to this elegant desert setting. The underside of the Sherbet has the usual counter sunk and polished Pontil, the sign of quality Art Glass. The Plate shows a little bit of the Pontil Scar and they decided not to Polish and Counter Sink a Pontil. Instead the Plate has been rough Polished so it sits level. Neither of the pieces are signed as these traditionally carried a paper label and came off when washed. This is Design #2680 in the definitive Steuben reference, Paul Gardner's, The Glass of Frederick Carder, page. 197. Absolutely gorgeous color, and in perfect condition. These two pieces have no excuses to be made here. These were made Circa 1903-1920. « Less

For Sale I have an extremely large Art Glass Vase made by The Steuben Glass Company of Corning, New York. This is from my personal collection. The Vase is done in Frederick Carder's Most Highly Collected Gold Aurene Glass. I call this a XXX LG Magnum Vase because of its size. The correct classification would be considered a "Tapered Shoulder Vase". The Vase is rather Large as it Stands 10 3/8" Tall and has a Whopping Diameter of 10" at the Shoulder. The top inside opening has a diameter of 3 3/4" and an outside one of 5 1/4". The bottom or foot of the vase is 4 7/8" in diameter. The Circumference of the Vase at the shoulder is an amazing 31 5/8" around. The Gold Iridescence or luster is just unbelievable!! My camera cannot pick up the brightness of the gold as the light reflects so strongly off of it. You can see beautiful hues of Fuchsias and Blues within the Iridescence. The Blue Platinum iridescence at the bottom of the Vessel is simply Outstanding!! In the neck of the Vessel is some of the finest tones if Fuchsia I have ever seen on a Steuben piece of Art Glass. The Gold Aurene Luster on this vase is more brilliant than any LCT Tiffany Favrile Gold I have ever owned. The vase looks like it was made Pure Gold a metal, yet it is so fragile as it is really glass. This is a large piece of Art Glass and was considered to be extremely difficult to blow and keeps its shape simply because of its size. The Vase is considered to be in excellent to Mint condition as there is very minor issues to report. There are only a few minor scratches in the iridescence. I have pictured 1 area on the Vase where it appeared to Rub against something and shows some Iridescence wear. The is also a another area I have pictures a few horizontal lines or scratches with minor iridescence loss. There is some imperfections in the Iridescence but this is typical of hand made class. There are also a few pin size iridescence loss. My camera makes these look much larger than they really are as I have 10X zoom capabilities. Overall this Huge piece of Art Glass in really in outstanding condition for it size and age. The Vase does have a counter sunk Polished Pontil, the sign of Quality Art Glass. The piece is signed "Steuben Aurene 2683" in their etched mark on the Glass. You can tell always tell Steuben's Gold from Tiffany's gold as Steuben's texture of the glass is very smooth like a baby's butt and the Tiffany Gold has a rougher texture. Purchase with confidence as quality Art Glass especially of this size is becoming almost impossible to find in excellent condition. Steuben's Aurene was registered in 1904, and ceased production in 1932. This is a very nice example of Steuben's Gold Aurene in both form and Iridescence. This vase is guaranteed to be made by Steuben Glass or a full refund including shipping both ways. You Steuben and Tiffany Collectors of Art Glass, don't let this one slip by!!!! I believe this piece to have been made circa 1910-1915. This was one of the hardest Vases for me to take pictures of. The Gold was so Brilliant that it reflected back into the Camera. This Vase in person is much, much better than I could capture with my camera!! « Less

For Sale I have a very Lovely piece of Art Glass made by Tiffany Studios, New York. The item is a "Gold Iridescent Squat Flower Form" Vase. It is done in Tiffany's highly sought after Gold Favrile Iridescent Glass. The Flower Form is a nice size as it stands 4 1/2" tall and has a diameter of approximately 5 1/2" at it widest point. The foot has a diameter of 2 3/4".
The Vase displays a very Strong Gold Iridescent finish. The Vase looks metallic yet it is glass. You can see vivid hues of Fuchsia and some Platinum Blues. The Vase has very nice appeal and I would consider this a nice Cabinet Shape. The Gold Onion Skin Texture is very fine and well executed. The Fuchsia Color is throughout and on both sides as well as very strong hues on the Foot.
The Flower Form is considered to be in excellent condition as there are no cracks, nicks, chips or dings. This Flower form has no excuses to be made at all. The Vase is properly signed with the etched Script Signature mark "L.C. Tiffany Favrile" as well as the Suffix Number "2094C". This Suffix letter C means this piece was made in the year 1908.
This is a quality piece of Art glass made by Tiffany Studios, New York. The Gold Favrile, Aurene Iridescence is just outstanding!! This is a very nice example of this form and color. It is amazing that this Flower Form has survived over 108 years without getting any kind of damage.
Those of you who collect the Gold Favrile, Aurene Flower Forms will surely welcome this fine addition. I'm sure the lucky Buyer will be delighted with their purchase. « Less
