Two legs molded free. Vent hole to undersides. Similar piece illustrated figure 2997, page 256, Schiffer''s ''Victorian Staffordshire Figures 1835-1875'' Book 2, by A.& N. Harding. Right facing: Generally good. Tight hairline to base front, and another across the horse''s front right ankle extending to the reverse of the piece. Very minor paint loss to tail. Kiln effects: stray green enamel to hind right leg; shrinkage ''fractures'' in the green enamel. Restoration of front left leg and hind right lower leg. Retouching to mane and muzzle. Left facing: Good. Paint loss to muzzle.
