This is a lovely handpainted Austrian lamp. It features beautiful lush roses in several colors. The large bunch is on the front with a more modest group on the back. There are two gold handles set high on the lamp. The lamp has been mounted on a brass filagree stand 1 1/2'' high bringing it''s height to 27''. The makers mark and export numbers are on the bottom of the lamp. The lamp is signed Mysel under a bunch of flowers. It is in very good condition. They were wired for the US years ago but I would have then checked. They have been in storage for about ten years and have a dull gold gilt patina which might just be dirt. One has gold glass bulb on bottom. One does not. Available as a pair. They match the standing display shelf that I have in stock at this time and came from the same estate in the Santa Barbara Hope Ranch just before the Painted Cave fire. This is a charming chandelier perfect for a small foyer or powder room. I purchased the woven and elongated golden brass or bronze thread basket in France in the 1980''s. Since that time I have professionally rewired it to UL approved American standards and have added glass beaded pastel flowers and green foliage. It also has Victoria snoods that are very fragile. They slip over the five bulbs. Because the snoods are beaded on threads that is over one hundred years old there is some bead loss and they drop lines of beads if not gently cleaned. The many other glass beaded flowers are made personally and have wire that holds them together perfectly. Each pastel flower is lined in a secondary color. This is a beautiful little chandelier in excellent condition if you don''t count the snoods which could be replaced with small shades. This is a lovely handpainted Art Nouveau lampbase without a shade. It features a rich turquoise background with gold hands on hips style arms in a flattened bulbous shape. The painting is on both sides and has creamy waterlilies, lush leaves and multicolored butterflies trimmed in gold. It is in good vintage condition rewired for the UAL American marketplace. There are tiny nibbles of wear at the footing but nothing significant. This is a very beautiful piece that was a fixture on the jewelry case of my antiques store in the 1980''s.
