Excellent antique Art Deco pendant lights, dating from the 1930’s. Each pendant light begins with a tilting canopy, allowing it to be mounted on a sloped ceiling. It has a long pole connecting to an understated fitter that supports its original white glass shade. The lower portion of the shade features a concentric circle pattern. This light fixture is in excellent condition with no cracks or breaks to the glass, just the expected fleabites around the rims. The chandelier has been professionally rewired and comes with all the necessary attachments for modern installation. The pendant measures 14” wide, 12” tall (body only), and 30-1/2 long overall. This is a superb Art Deco lantern with American Leaded Stained Glass, from St. Louis and dating from the early 1920’s. The pendant begins with an understated canopy that connects to a loop finial by a linked chain. There are six slightly sloped bands connecting the lantern finial to its body. The glass body is composed of six geometrical panels; each panel consists of original white flashed glass and green granite glass, with diamond shaped accents. The glass is in excellent condition with no cracks or breaks, just the expected fleabites around the rims. There is a slight color variance in one of the panels as pictured. This light fixture is in excellent condition; it has been professionally rewired and comes with all the necessary attachments for modern installation. The lantern is 6”wide and 11-1/2” tall; the fixture is 27-3/4” long overall.   « Less

Striking antique Spanish Revival lantern from the 1920’s in its original polychrome finish. This pendant light begins with an understated canopy connected to a decorative loop finial. The lantern retains its original crackled amber glass. The glass is flanked by three iron straps that feature crown crest appliqués ornamented with a large shield crossed with a red band and accented with fleur-de-lis. The glass is also in excellent condition with no cracks or breaks, just the expected fleabites around the edges. The lantern body is 5-1/4” wide and 16” tall, and is approx. 33-1/4” long overall.   « Less

Attributed to England circa 1895-1920. The single-light lantern consists of a four sided box-like pierced metal frame holding inside panes of clear, amber, red, and purple stained pressed glass. No cracks at all in the four glass sides, which shows a real dedication to preservation by an up-scale series of owners. The frame is made of cast metal that has been nickel plated. The top and bottom of the frame are encircled by a band of fanciful rococo-style pierced repoussé decorations. Decoration has foliate scrolls springing from the top and bottom corners of the frame. The lower scrolls support a pendant acorn, while the upper scrolls decorate the central pole with the hanging loop. Note the plethora of classical figures, faces, and old world decor. Simply a feast of motif activity. This hall lantern has been completely re-wired in our UL shop with a central new socket and new wire. Measurements: The overall height is 26”. A well known name in Art Deco Americana lighting is “Moe Bridges”. There are existing catalogs, from the 1930's, that show his lines. This pendant comes from the series that Moe Bridges called the “Etruscan Series”. This two shade, single light, pendant was presented in his 1935 catalog as stock number 330-PL-1 and described as: “One light pendant Lantern. Spread 6 3/4 x 8 1/2 inches. Length 36 inches. Price $6.90” Now, we cannot offer the same price as 1935, but we thought we would pass along what it sold for at that date. And while the original 1935 (as delivered) length was 36”, ours has been shortened to 19 1/2” for modern ceilings at some time. Completely re-wired to UL standards with a new socket, and now ready to install. It uses only one bulb, but it can be 100 watts easily. The shades are in great condition. We used a low wattage bulb for the pictures so as to not blow-out the focus of the camera lens. Using a larger bulb, in actual usage, will give a much brighter appearance. Comes complete with all the mounting hardware. The finish is old gold and original. Price: $650.00, plus $50.00 for careful packaging and Ground shipping within the contiguous 48 states. A delightful antique Colonial Revival lantern with its original hand cut glass shade, retaining its darkened nickel finish, c.1930. This one-light pendant begins with an understated canopy coming down in a chain to a loop finial composed of volutes. The finial connects to the fixture with a flared section that sits atop four darkened nickel balusters which encase the original cylindrical glass shade. The frosted glass cylinder has wheel-cut design of grape clusters and leaves. The light fixture is in excellent condition; it has been professionally rewired and comes with all the necessary attachments for modern installation. The shade is also in excellent condition with no cracks or breaks, just the expected fleabites around the edges. The pendant body measures 6" wide, 12-1/4" tall and 25-1/4" long overall. Very unique and lovely glass pendant having multiple light bulbs inside for a nice lighted appearance. Normally these are under-lit, but this one is done nicely and has been re-wired for safety with American style sockets and wire. This pendant has a lovely Edwardian ambiance with the lovely brass roses and leaves, and does remind one of the Art Nouveau style, but it’s a bit more than that too. Origin is continental...perhaps Czechoslovakia or similar states that gave rise to the term Bohemian glass, which is so appreciated today. Measurements: The overall pendant height is 28”. The maximum width is 9”. The entire frame was constructed from a combination of wrought iron and cast metal panels, and then given a turn of the century polychrome colored finish, which is still in pretty good condition.
