Here is a rare and desirable 1940’s Patenotte Gypsy jazz grand bouche (big mouth) guitar in very good overall condition.
She features a solid maple body and neck with a solid spruce top and an ebony fret-board! A very playable grand old guitar! She has seen decades of playing and overall nice vintage wear that gives her a beautiful weathered look.
Her frets are large and tall and have plenty of room if you wish to redress them. There is some fret wear and some fret-board wear, see photos. Action is very acceptable for this type of guitar and she sounds great. Nice loud crisp sound.
There are 2 hard to notice hairlines on her top beneath the strings, see photo. There is some top wear near the fret board from strumming that I touched up with a little clear brush on lacquer.
When I bought her she was missing one tuner button. I was unable to find an exact replacement and a good set of original 1940’s Delaruella tuners are nearly impossible to find so I custom fit a new aftermarket set.
Now when I say “custom fit” I fit the tuners to the peg head not the other way around as every type of replacement tuners made for these guitars, even the $500. ones do not fit exactly. To use after market replacements the peg head holes need to be reamed out a bit.
I spoke to one of the most respected dealers and luthiers who has specialized in these guitars for several decades and he told me that even he reams out the peg holes to fit replacement tuners. So if one ever wished to re-install an original set of tuners they would not fit properly!
I managed to find a set of new strip tuners with pegs that fit exactly, but the spacing between than was off. So, I cut the strips into 3 parts, scaloped the edges and made sure that the tiny holes I drilled with a pin drill for the tiny screws would all be underneath the original tuner strips. Should a future owner ever wish to replace these with original 1940.s Delaruella tuners they would fit exact and no one would ever know that the guitar was once fitted with non original tuners. The new tuners work flawlessly! Enough said!
Guitar comes with a brand new hard-shell case.
This guitar was used for the rhythm guitar parts in the recording “The Pussy Cat Dance” by Jon E Blade. Check it out on youtube!

The ‘63 Hopf Saturns were only manufactured for a few years 1963 – 65, so they are considered quite rare. Very few came with solid spruce blond tops. This was an expensive option so there are not many of these. Our guitar comes from an old US collection where she lived for over 30 years. She is near mint overall and functions perfectly. Her tuners are like new as is her “Ever-straight” patented multi laminate neck. Straight neck with low action throughout! Her frets are excellent with very little wear. Her tremolo system is a work of art!
She still has her original DIN jack and is “virgin” untouched, not converted for a ¼” plug! A true collector’s dream!
She has some very minor wear and her strap peg was relocated at some time¼” over (the screw probably became loose).
Killer60’s sound and awesome retro design!
She is the iconic symbol of Hamburg, Germany’s Star Club.
Originally she came with a brown “gunny bag” type carry case that did not offer much protection. We have been unable to locate it, but if we do, we will send it along with guitar.
We are including a top quality, plush lined Stag hard case to keep her in. She is definitely one of the finest examples you will ever find of this rare guitar!

This guitar is a wonderful example in a most beautiful orange sunburst. She is in excellent condition overall with very little play time on her. She has some finish checking and a small touch up with red paint around the input jack where there was a paint flake.
She plays and sounds awesome. Straight neck, great frets and low action. Strong pickups. Wonderful 60’s Italian sound!!!
Comes with a good gigbag!

I have a fully working antique piano. It has been tuned as of 5 months ago. I barely have time to play and am moving and must sell. I'm confident this piano is worth significantly more than I'm offering per conversation with collectors.
There is a sticker on the piano that dates it to 1912. The sticker looks to be a tuning sticker so the piano is likely even older, approximately 1890-1912 range.
It's very heavy so a professional piano mover will need to move this piano. « Less

Concert 8 Model upright piano by C. Bechstein, Berlin, Germany. Serial No. 187433. Beautiful rosewood, with burl. Dimensions: 131 cms. ht. x 154 cms. width x 62 cms. depth. Purchased in 2002 (manufactured in 2000). Condition: wonderful playing condition, with a beautiful tone; chip to the block beneath the lowest E key of the keyboard (see photos), and some minor blemishes on the left end. This piano is an excellent value, priced at about a third of the new retail price. The Bechstein Concert 8 is a classic among concert pianos and has received several first prizes by the jury of "Le Monde de la Musique." To quote their opinion: "The Concert 8 piano has proven itself a piano of the highest rank. Its tonal projection enables a great spectrum of harmonic resonance, with a truly great, beautiful, natural tone of duration. An incomparable richness of color! The Concert 8 approaches absolute perfection piano sonority. It is well suited to the interpretation of contrasting styles of music. The tonal balance is so close to that of a grand piano that the only question remaining is whether one need buy a grand piano at all! For many, it has long been the best upright piano in the world." C. Bechstein was established in 1853 by Carl Bechstein. In 1857, Hans von Bulow (Liszt's son-in-law) gave the first public performance on a Bechstein grand piano by performing Liszt's 'Piano Sonata in B Minor' in Berlin. By 1881, Bechstein was supplying pianos to Queen Victoria for Buckingham Palace and Windsor Castle. Between 1901-1914, Bechstein was the largest dealership in London, supplying pianos to the Tsars of Russia and to the royal families of Spain, Belgium, the Netherlands, Italy, Sweden, Norway, Austria and Denmark.
