Condition – excellent, no cracks or chips, shows silver wear on silver-plated brass cover. 1393
- Dalzell, Gilmore & Leighton, Findlay, OH, Findlay Onyx glass was only produced during 1889. Costs were excessively high and considerable loss of items during production and shipping shortened the life span of sales on this art glass. There was experimentation with various colors. Excellent glass no chips or cracks. 19th century having a pointed pewter lid. Made in Germany There is a signed piece about a 1/4" on the top of the glass by the hinged lid.
Old manufacturers started making stein with pewter lids because of the plagues. Stein making started in 1859 until the war. Starting up again in 1918, but by that time most people stopped using them daily.
Conical steeple lids are the most common and cheapest models you can buy.

Ruby Red Glass Cocktail shaker made in America Circa 1935. 9 3/4"H X 3 3/4" D tapering to top 2 3/4"D. This beautiful shaker has a Chrome top and tapered body with intense ruby color. The bottom shows a polished potil "ring for solid purchases and a reliable sign of quality glass. The bottom edge has a small flake from use other wide no cracks or damage.
The top has two stress cracks on the edge caused by age, no scratches or dents. The glass is decorated with stylish silver overlay grape vine motif.
Remember this was made during the prohibition and depression era, circa 1930s « Less

The shaker is perfect in every way ie no damage, chip, cracks, discoloration etc. The top is also free of cracks and is perfect. 15"H, 3" W at the top. The silver top with strainer and air tube to allow smooth pouring of cocktail. The top is marked "Derby Shelton Silver Co., Shelton Conn. patent #2097604 maker of the top and shoe. The Ruby leg made by West Virginia Glass Specialty Glass Co.
