Beautiful pair of octagonal facet-sided cordial glasses, dating from late 1700s to early 1800s. Gilt decoration of flowers and leaves. Cut glass pattern to stems. Glasses each measure 13.7 cm high with a 5.3 cm diameter top rim, and 6.9 & 7.2 cm diameter foot rims. Excellent condition, just a little wear to the gilding.   « Less

Early 1800's set of 8 cut glass goblets. Heavy, each weighs approx. between 376 to 476 grams. Heights are not all exactly the same - these are blown glass, individually made and hand cut. Sharply cut glass, diamond hobnail, plain rim and octagonal base. Slab-cut stem, starburst underneath. 14.5 cm high, top rim 8.25 cm diameter, foot rim 7.5 cm diameter. 4 have shallow top rim chips, mainly inside the rim. 4 have foot rim chips, two of which are larger, and two of which are mainly under the rim surface. There are a few additional very minor nicks to facets of the foot, and the same to edges of the cut areas. All normal wear and tear for a rare surviving set of 8 of these antique goblets. Still very usable, and certainly extremely decorative. Can also be used as dessert glasses.   « Less

Crystal decanter still in its original box, maker is Wedgwood Crystal and the pattern is Marcel. Spirit or wine decanter. Box is marked "Handmade in England in 24% Lead Crystal. Designed by Frank Thrower". Also marked "Optic" which may be why although the decanter is round to the touch, there is an optical pattern somehow which makes it appear 12 sided. Inverted pontil mark underneath (ground). Excellent condition, obviously never used. Would date from the 1980s. Item measures 33 cm high and 8.3 cm diameter (13 inches by 3.1/2 inches). One tiny dot in the glass - in the manufacture. Circa 1980s.   « Less

Late 1800s vanity jar - pretty cut crystal round base with starburst pattern central underneath. The silver lid has an embossed design of flowers and scrolled leaves. Blank central presentation panel. The sides of the silver top have dents - rather hidden in the busy embossing - and this has rendered the hallmark unreadable. However you can just make out the lion passant denoting British silver. There are also two holes in this area of the silver., more noticeable from the inside of the lid than the outer edge. Minor tiny frits to one area of the crystal top rim. Presents well. Measures 7.9 cm high. Lid is 7.2 cm diameter, and the base is 6.3 cm diameter.   « Less
