Most unusual vase with underglaze moriage like moriage cloisonne vases have. Hard to see from the pictures this vase has the figures and all areas with blue underglaze actually puffed up. Pretty dramatic in spots maybe 1/2'' tall!. I've never seen one like this and it is a beautiful effect. Most unusual. I'd date this at late Quinlong of possibly Chia Ching. 1800 or so. Tremendous Kaung Hsu mark and period piece that has 3 different pieces to it. An underplate a bowl and a lid for the bowl. Approximately 5'' height and in excellent condition save for a glaze crack in lid. Lid and bowl are signed Kuang Hsu and are of the period. Beautifully signed, the entire mark reads ''Hattori sei zo'' (Made by Hattori). The lip has had a piece broken out and glued back. Tiny piece of gilt missing about the size of a pin head. An enormous satsuma covered koro that is a unbelievable profusion of high relief dragons, animals, plants and humans. The whole of the surface is completely covered in high reliefs. This koro sold for over $30,000 5 years ago. A true museum quality piece. There are dragons, sheep, strange birds and priests all over it. It is obviously a very special piece. Signature is of high quality and probably from a important maker. Circa 1900. Massive in size this koro is almost 20'' tall and 15'' thick. The walls are almost an inch thick! Koro cover is in perfec shape. Unfortunately the top third of the koro has been broken. Several pieces were broken out and reglued. It fits together fine and is mostly restored but really needs a professional to finish it. It looks great to display or if you know a good restorer you could make an easy $3,000 - $4,000 profit with a good repair job. Either way its a great piece that is one of the biggest relief pieces I've ever seen. If you need more pictures I have them.
