Exquisite antique nude bronze lady signed Poertzel. She is mounted on her original green shaped marble base. She is holding one hand in the air near the side of her head as if anticipating a sound. It is an unusual posture but very beautiful and extremely lifelike. She measures 7-5/8 inches from the bottom of the base to the top of her head. From the bottom of the bronze not including the base she measures 6-1/2 inches. From elbow to elbow she measures 2-1/2 inches. Weight 1.5 lbs. Beautiful antique circa 1800 putto bronze carrying a basket of fruit on his head. The detail and composition are exceptional for an early bronze like this. It measures 6-3/4 inches including the Sienna marble base it stands on. The putto itself is 6 inches high. The Sienna marble base measures 3-3/4 inches long by 1-3/4 inches wide. The putto's right arm shows the separation in casting where the arm is applied to the shoulder, it is very secure and tight but you can see the line where it is attached. Beautiful and very rare antique Vienna bronze stork standing on a polished variegated green onyx tray. The stork has most of its original cold paint polychrome patina. It shows only slight rubbing and minimal paint loss commensurate with age and use. This is a very rare and beautiful bronze, the first stork model we have seen. It dates circa 1900. The stork by itself not including the base measures 3-3/4 inches high. From the tip of its beak to the back of its tail it measures 4 inches. The tray has a diameter of 5-1/2 inches. The tray has a height of 3/4 inch. The tray is beautifully polished with nice rounded edges and beautiful colors in the variegated green onyx. This is a beautiful piece that will make a wonderful addition to any Vienna bronze collection. The stork is extremely lifelike and very well sculptured. Guaranteed to please as are all our items. Beautiful antique Art Nouveau winged nude fairy bronze artist signed F. Rosse. (Franz Rosse 1858-1900 is a listed European sculptor who specialized in bronze dancers and figures.) The sculpture depicts a beautiful winged nude fairy standing with life-size flowers, one growing along her back going right over her head. This is a lovely sculpture showing great detail and craftsmanship in the execution of this composition. I have seen this model before made into a lamp and missing a lot of the flower work. This is the first complete one I have seen. It rests on its original high quality specimen marble base. The condition is excellent with a lovely medium chocolate brown patina. The bronze measures 15-1/2 inches to the top of the tallest flower. This is the original marble base and is included in the height to the flower. Widest width from her left hand to her right hand 5-1/2 inches. Diameter at base 5 inches. Weight 5.75 lbs. Beautiful bronze sculpture depicting a semi nude man playing pipes. The sculpture is signed Gve Deloye, inscribed on the urn that the piper rests his foot on. The bronze is set on a black circular marble base. The base has a 9 inch diameter and measures 1 inch high. The bronze measures 27-1/2 inches high and 9-3/4 inches widest width from the side of his robe to his left elbow. The subject has a very nice face and is beautifully sculptured. He is depicted wearing only a robe thrown over his shoulder with one portion of the robe between his legs. Please see pictures and click enlargements for details. This is a rare sculpture one that has been in my own collection 35 years, I have never seen another. The urn measures 6 inches long and 5 inches at its widest point from ram's head to ram's head. Beautiful antique Bergman semi nude Orientalist dancer Vienna bronze dancing on an Orientalist carpet set on a black and gold marble tray. The bronze has most of its original polychrome cold paint patina intact. It's a lovely Vienna bronze in very good condition. She measures 4-1/2 inches from the carpet to the top of her head. The carpet she stands on measures 2-3/4 inches long by 2 inches wide. The tray the carpet is mounted on has a 5-1/2 inches diameter. It is marked MADE IN AUSTRIA inscribed on the bottom of the base. From the top of her head to the bottom of the marble tray she measures 5-3/8 inches. Weight 2 lbs. Overall excellent condition with slight rubbing to the patina commensurate with age and use. Extraordinary bronze sculpture by Carl Wegener 1862-1935. This is a wonderful mythological sculpture of Pan with his bride. Legend has it that Pan offered to teach the making and playing of the reed pipe instrument if he were offered a bride. This wonderful sculpture depicts Pan with his nude bride. Pan has one hand embracing her leg while he plays the pipes with his other hand. She has one hand below her breast and is holding Pan's head with her other hand. This sculpture is extremely well defined and is anatomically perfect. It is a rare and wonderful mythological sculpture inscribed in the bronze C. Wegener 1918. It is mounted on a variegated marble dark and light green base conforming to the bronze base of the sculpture. Height 15-1/2 inches, width of bronze base 5-1/4 inches. Height of bronze excluding the marble base 15 inches. This is the first model of this composition we have had the pleasure to own or offer for sale. Superb antique bronze sculpture titled Chrysis par G. Colin (Medaille) Salon des Beaux Arts. This extraordinary sculpture won a medal when it was displayed at the Salon des Beaux Art in the 19th century. It has its original inscribed bronze metal plaque attached to the base. The base is a very unusually designed marble base with a gilt bronze under plate and six sides. The sculpture depicts Chrysis a beautiful nude lady wearing only sandals and a jeweled crown. Her hands at one time held a necklace she was about to put on. This is an extremely rare bronze discovered on one of our world wide buying trips many years ago. At first glance one can see how beautiful her face is and how lovely her body and composition are. She stands like a proud queen adorning herself with jewelry. She is inscribed G. Colin, a very important French 19th century sculptor who created some of the most beautiful female nude bronze sculptures during the 19th century. This exquisite bronze is the finest example of this sculptor's work that we have ever had the pleasure to see, purchase, and offer for sale. She measures 21-1/2 inches high to the top of her crown. From elbow to elbow she measures 5-1/2 inches across. The base is 6 inches wide, 5-3/4 inches deep, and 4-1/2 inches high. Beautiful antique bronze sculpture by Emile Louis Picault born in Paris in the 1840s. He studied with Royer and exhibited medallions and statuettes at the Paris salon's from 1863-1909. Emile Picault is considered one of the best French 19th century sculptors. His works are always in demand. This is a rare model we are offering we have not seen before. It depicts a French gentleman in formal 18th century attire with a Napoleonic style hat carrying his leather pouch and sword. The sword is removable for safe shipping. It rests comfortably behind his wrist and conforms in shape to the sculpture. The bronze is inscribed E. Picault in the base and has a lovely medium to honey brown patina. It is set on it's original rouge marble base. The base has a diameter of 5-1/2 inches and height 1-3/4 inches.
