Music box having five 'bells-in-view' and playing Eight Airs on a 9 inch cylinder. The rosewood case has a floral inlay on the lid with boxwood borders. The lever wind movement has two controls on the right hand side of the box. The top lever controls the 'change/repeat' mechanism. The front lever controls the 'stop/start' mechanism. Swiss made circa 1880 by Ami Rivenc and bought at Harrod's in London in 1992. The music box measures 22"W x 12"D x 10"H.   « Less

A super example of this most sought after 1960’s Italian guitar. Striking black / silver finish with cobra on headstock, on pick guard and running around edge of pick guard! GUITAR IS AMAZING. The sound from these guitars cannot be equaled. Super retro 1960’s piece of are. Designed by Antonio Pioli and manufactured in his unique factory during the mid 1960’s. Entire guitar is very clean and has a wonderful vintage look with verticel finish checking. Headstock has a little wear to tips. Pick-guard has no cracks or chips. Frets are excellent, neck is straight and action low. Electronics are extremely clean and all original. The original bridge is a work of art itself. The strings are threaded through bronze saddles on the underside! A real looker, great player and beautiful sounding instrument weighing in at just about 7 pounds. Note: These guitars have a thin glossy black plastic cover on the back of the neck that is prone to cracking or breaking. You will see many Wandre guitars that have had the black plastic removed leaving the bare aluminum neck showing, for this reason. This one had some chips at the very bottom, where the neck meets the body and a friend of mine who worked with plastics at the time made a 1” wide cover patch from the same type material, see close-ups. That is the only non original part to this guitar. Guitar is missing the “whammy bar” but an after market replacement can be easily found in the net for a few bucks. Guitar comes with the Italian Music store case where it was purchased used several years ago. A nicer example of this rare guitar would be very difficult to find at any price! Price is firm. THE RAREST OF THE RARE!!! A ex rare, possibly unique, Barth “Natural” guitar. In the late 50’s Paul Barth, after working at Rickenbacker and before working at Magnatone, contracted with the Natural Music Guild in Santa Ana, California to distribute his guitars. Most of these look like the 1959 line of Magnatone guitars and have a decal on the headstock that reads “Barth, Natural Music Guild, Santa Ana, Calif.” This one has some considerable differences. First the headstock is simply labeled “Natural, Santa Ana”. The body is painted a desert sand color (all original) the pickup top is cream with a gold bezel and the pick guard is brown fiberglass (not painted) and not white like all the rest. Furthermore the guitar has an original bronzium trapeze tailpiece and later floating bridge (Bigsby aluminum top and wheels with an attractive hardwood base) designed after a catalog illustration of a similar early Barth designed Magnatone bridge. The original Kluson Deluxe 3 on a plate tuners are all excellent! Light weight semi hollow body and FUN to play! Electronics are original and untouched. Pots, made by the Chicago Telephone Supply Corporation, date to the 23rd week of 1959 and to the 8th week of 1960. So this guitar can be considered an early 60, privately made by Paul Barth when he was working at Magnatone. This IS a RARE guitar! Plays and sounds awesome. Excellent vintage condition overall with straight neck, low action, excellent frets and beautiful original finish. No issues! Comes with a vintage 70’s hard-shell case that fits like a glove and I also have an original C 1960 Magnatone soft case that I will include for free if ordered this week see photos. A significant, historically important offering pertaining to gay freedom, rights and dignity. and her monumental hit “Uprising of Love”. The guitar is in mint condition with only some light fret wear. It is absolutely gorgeous with a bound neck, pearliod tuner buttons, 5 section laminated maple and mahogany neck, gold hardware, ebony fret-board with beautiful abalone inlays, abalone top binding, a vibrant burnt orange top with multi sound holes (both sides) and fabulous electronics. It comes with original case, tags, brochures and accessories. Also included is a flash drive with the pertaining videos on it. This guitar is documented by 2 You Tube videos of Melissa which were shot in a hotel room in 2014. In the first video she gives a tutorial on how to play her hit “Uprising of Love” on this guitar.
