Four demi tasse cups, saucers, sugar and cream jug, decorated by Carl Thieme. The cups, saucers and sugar are Dresden, the creamer is a ring-in, being Fürstenberg fine porcelain- but it fits in nicely. The Dresden marks are for Carl Thieme of Potschappel (Dresden), who was a decorator of Dresden ware using this mark from 1872 onwards. The flowers are hand painted, and the gilding work, especially on the handles is lovely. One saucer also has an impressed Dresden crown. Each duo has a different floral pattern. Self-embossed basket-weave pattern to rim areas. The sugar bowl has a rose as the finial on the lid. All these would probably date around 1930s to 1950. The Fürstenberg creamer has a similar floral design, and also gilded rims, flashings etc. It dates from circa 1950 to 1980s, being stamped West Germany. Cups are 6 cm high and 5.75 cm diameter. Saucers are dishes, and 12.5 cm diameter. Sugar is 8.5 cm high and 7.5 cm diameter. Creamer is 7.75 cm high and widest part of body is 6.75 cm diameter. All in excellent condition.   « Less

luster brown ceramic teapot only for decor with idea of dried & or fresh flowers and leaves. very likely made in Japan (occupied timing) the lid is no longer exists. body is in fabulous condition with beautiful ornamentation, gold work, and beading in colors. all hand painted and focal incredible glaze. the floral decoration is breath taking, and certainly will enhance any side, foyer or cocktail tables. 5.5" H. x 8.5" W from tip of handle to the end, and base is 3.5". The spout still has the plastic guard on it. It doesn't appear to ever been used. It stands 6 inches tall, and is 9 1/2 inches across at the widest point. A Rare Saltglaze Stoneware Teapot in the form of a House. Circa 1745. The teapot in the form of a house is relief moulded depicting a three storied house on one side and a two storied house on the other all surmounted with a tiled roof. The spout is in the form of a bird''s head emerging from a human arm with a hand holding its neck. ;The finial and chimney is also in the form of a bird''s head which is an usual form (see Mountford below). ;On the ground floor two human figures flank the spout. The handle is in the form of a simple loop. Height: 5 1/2 inches. Reference: English Saltglazed Earthenware by Chas. F.
