This is a wonderful old piece of French Arts & crafts / Art Nouveau pottery. Denbac pitcher, with a typical Denbac green and ocher glaze, Number 234 in the Denbac catalog issued in 1934. Total height : 7.6''. It is in mint condition, as can be seen in the pictures. No lines, chips, cracks, repairs or any other fault. The signature at the bottom is perfect too. Late Art Deco period vase, royal blue body with turquoise interior and green and red drip glaze. marked on the bottom with the number 286 and an illegible mark in ink under the glaze. Two tiny depressions in the body, original before glazing and firing: one on the rim and the other on the point of the angle change on the body. These are not at all apparent, they are only mentioned to be precise in the description. Craquelure of the glaze is apparent on close inspection, but this vase is in excellent condtion. Pair of mirrored copper and glass wall sconces, France, Art Deco, circa 1930''s. Fair condition, Polished edges on the mirror, scalloped detail on the three angled edges. Copper cups hold the glass bobeches. The silvering has some age spots on the mirror backs, original felt backing and hanging straps are attached. These have been re-wired for US electricity and have designer shades added. The mirror backs are glass tinted a lovely pink shade that gives the aspect of copper. Faience ( majolica ) lamp base, late Art Deco, France circa 1930''s. Beautiful cobalt blue gloss glazed ground with blue, turquoise, green and ochre drip glaze. Originally made as a lamp, not drilled. This lovely piece stis on its original bronze base with laurel leaf and beaded detailing. Craqelure of the glaze apparent on very close inspection. Needs to be wired. The neck cover is painted metal. Not marked. Overall dimensions: 12 inches high x 5.75 inches diameter.
