Antique Victorian Sterling Silver Chatelaine Circa. 1898. England. Decorative Victorian Sterling Silver filigree chatelaine with five chains ending in swivel hooks. Belt hook on back, marked with several English Sterling Silver marks for 1898. Generally, in very good condition with the exception of minor loss of filigree in center section. Not very noticeable because of the elaborate filigree work. This item is approximately 110 years old. Before clothing had pockets, chatelaines were used to hang and carry keys, sewing needles, notebooks, etc. 74.7 gr. 48.0 dwt. In very good condition. Measures 8.5 inches long, 3 inches wide and .50 inches deep. « Less
